When it is complete, there will be grilling utensils available in the condo. * This listing has a max occupancy of 6 people per the restrictions of Indian Harbour Beach, with 2 in the king bed, 2 in the queen bed, 1 on the twin XL trundle and one on the sleeper sofa (OR an infant in a portable crib). To make your beach days even more enjoyable, we've provided all the beach essentials you'll need. Grab our beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards, and head to the shore for a day of sun-soaked relaxation and adventure. The closest beach access, Bicentennial Beach Park, is approximately a 5 minute walk from the condo and has public parking (if driving is preferred), bathroom facilities, outdoor showers, and ramp access to the beach. Please note that this beach is NOT a designated dog beach. The closest dog beach is Canova Beach Park just a few minutes drive to the south and also has public facilities including parking. This area offers more than just sun and sand. Much of the coast here is protected wildlife sanctuary. Marvel at the leatherback, loggerhead and green sea turtles as they make their appearances during the nesting season beginning in late February all the way into late September. The turtle hatchlings start emerging as early as May and continuing even into early November. This area is home to a huge number and variety of birds including many species who spend the winter here alongside the year round residents. There a many dolphins both in the ocean and on the estuary side of the island which we have seen nearly daily. ln the winter you may spot whales, especially the endangered Wright whale, during the wintertime. The estuary side of the island (as well as the many canals on the island and mainland springs) are home to a large population of manatees. This beachside location also provides front-row seats to the spectacular rocket launches from Cape Canaveral. Anything on the island is called "beachside" even if it is not oceanfront. You can see the launches from the front door of the condo, but it's even better from the beach just a short walk away. Night launches are particularly spectacular! Imagine gazing up at the sky and witnessing the awe-inspiring sight of rockets soaring into the heavens – a truly unforgettable experience that only the Space Coast of Florida can offer. Traveling to our beach condo is a breeze, too. It's just a 15-minute drive from Melbourne International Airport, making it incredibly accessible. If you're flying in from farther away, Orlando Airport is only an hour away, and the world-famous Orlando theme parks are a mere 75-minute drive. This strategic location allows you to enjoy both the magic of Disney and the tranquility of the beach in a single vacation.
