The neighborhood is in the beautiful rain forested mountainside of the central valley, overlooking the prosperous town of Escazu, with its numerous embassies, shops and restaurants. Our location is 300 meters above the town, but by car these amenities are only 15 minutes away.
The weather is usually "short sleeves" in the day and often "sweater in the evening. The vegetation is lush with numerous tropical trees and palms, and many types and colors of flowering plants.
As you ascend the mountain to our place you will pass a variety of housing including some gorgeous multi-million dollar homes, as well as some small pastures with a few cattle or horses, and you may see a farmer leading his oxen down the hill to an alternate place of work.
Should you travel higher up the mountain you will drive through vegetable farms and forest reserve areas with hiking trails, and on the other side of the mountain are numerous small coffee farms with coffee plants growing on the steep mountainous slopes.

To get to our place you will need to come by car, bus, or uber/taxi. The walk up the mountain from Escazu is for hiker types wanting exercise, and not for a regular casual stroll. Enclosed gated parking is available at our place and parking at most of the stores and shops downtown is provided by security guards.
