Welcome to Chalet in the Ferns. Just 4 miles from Seven Springs Resort, this charming house seamlessly blends rustic allure with modern comfort. Inside, the interior welcomes guests with warm wood accents, hand hewn beams, a stone fireplace, and large windows. With a brand new kitchen, cozy bedrooms, and 3 full bathrooms, every comfort is ensured. Step outside onto the deck to soak in the fresh mountain air or gather around the outdoor fireplace for evenings filled with stories and laughter. Come unwind and relax at our mountain getaway. Recently lovingly renovated and restored with style and comfort in mind. Families can spread out between the spacious common areas both inside and out. The main living room features a comfortable seating area with an 85 inch 4K TV. It is perfect for a family movie night or watching the big game. There is a game table which works great for family games, puzzles and extra seating. The cabinet by the game table has a variety of books and games you are welcome to use during your stay. The spacious dining room has 6 chairs and a long wooden bench to easily accommodate all 9 guests. There is a coffee bar with some regular coffee, decaf, an assortment of teas and hot chocolate mix to to make you feel more at home with some simple pleasures. The brand new kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and everything you might need to create a meal while you are busy creating memories. All of the beds have high quality hybrid mattresses, with crisp white linens, down comforters with duvet covers, several fluffy pillows and extra quilts to snuggle up with. Outside you will find multiple spaces to enjoy including a large front deck where you can relax and embrace the quiet, a small private outdoor balcony off of the large bedroom upstairs, a large backyard concrete patio, and a gazebo near the pond with a café table and chairs. The back patio has a beautiful outdoor fireplace surrounded by comfy chairs and a sofa to hang out on, a grill, and a small outdoor table for outdoor dining. Bed/Room Details: Bedroom 1: Queen size bed, private bath, located on the first floor so there are no stairs. Bedroom 2: King Bed, private seating area, upstairs outdoor balcony. Bedroom 3: King size bed Bedroom 4: Bunk bed. Top bunk is a twin and bottom is a double.

Chalet in the Ferns in located on a quiet residential street in the heart of the Laurel Highlands area. We are centrally located to so many year-round outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, tubing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, golfing and more. We are a quick 10 minute drive from the Donegal exit on the turnpike.

Indian Creek Valley Trail which is part of the rails to trails bike trail that runs between Pittsburgh and DC also known as part of the GAPS bike trail. The closest trail entrance is located right on County Line Rd (2.5 miles down the road). There are many trails for multiple levels of biking skill in Ohiopyle (19 miles) as well. You can bring your own or rent bikes from one of the local outfitters there.

Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater (16 miles), and his less well known but still wonderful Kentuck Knob (21 miles), and Polymath Park which includes 5 Frank Lloyd Wright houses (11 miles)

G&D Market for groceries, it is slightly larger with more selection than other options and has good pizza (4 miles), Sarnelli’s Market for a smaller selection of groceries/essentials plus they have a beer and wine store located just below the market (3 miles), Highland's market a bit more upscale resort priced market with beer, wine and good sandwiches (3.7 miles) and don't forget about Pletcher's a seasonal family farm stop with locally grown fruits and vegetables (2.9 miles).
