The property is located about 20 minutes drive outside of Ganges town, and about 35 minutes from Fulford Harbour. The listing indicates that you can walk into town, either along the beach or the main road. For the beach option you would have to catch the tide quite right to avoid getting your shoes wet. I honestly cannot recommend the road option, the main road is quite busy, and apart from being hilly, there is no proper pavement on most of the road into town. I strongly recommend renting a vehicle to get you around Ganges and the rest of the island. My room upstairs featured a big king size bed with lovely fluffy pillows and linen, lots of fluffy towels, plenty hot water and a lovely view. The bedroom leads directly into the bathroom without an adjoining door. Although the listing does not mention it, a lovely home made breakfast is included. Shannon was very quick to respond to my many questions, and offered rides into town when possible. Tip: A visit to Francis Bakery is a must!

Shannon's place is exactly what we needed. The location is incredible, with great views and close to Ganges village, and at the same time, really quiet. The covered patio with the suspended bed with harbour view was a luxurious touch. Shannon is an amazing host and made us feel really welcome. The breakfast was one of the best I ever had, and to have it with that view was perfection. The room was spacious, with lots of space to put our things, and very tasteful. I definitely would love to stay there again.
