Diese derzeit einzige Unterkunft in Kongthong war einfach eingerichtet, aber ausreichend. Das Feuer in der Unterkunft haben wir nicht benutzt. Stattdessen durften wir ein Lagerfeuer vor der Hütte genießen. Das Abendessen wurde auch dort serviert. Sehr schön. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.

A delightful traditional Khasi style stay in a beautiful remote village. Our house was cozy and clean and the hospitality was warm and welcoming! Would recommend this home stay for anyone who wants to discover the lesser treaded path in Meghalaya.

Sachin was beneficial and resourceful. After making a reservation at his property at Kongthong village, I had initially contacted him to ask if he may know any guides who could show us around Cherrapunji. After a phone call, he tailored our entire itinerary and suggested some excellent off-beat places to visit. All of this, along with helping us with some staying accommodations at short notice and transportation for our whole trip. Simply amazing! Very responsive and kept checking on us throughout our journey. Please pick his brain if you need any suggestions on what to do in Meghalaya.

Not worthy of being hosted on AirBnB. Zero maintenance as the place is managed by a co-operative. No cleanliness, whether it is furniture, bedsheets, blankets - they don't wash anything. I saw one of the boys simply brushing & folding up the bedsheets/blankets we used. Toilet dirty, old used toileteries littered, no towels. No power backup. Service orientation is not there, nobody bothers to check on any requirement that you may have. Example - there was no electricity, nobody bothered to give matches despite candles being there in the room! All service front-ending is handed down to a 10 yr old boy, so much for child labour! Only plus, the drive to Kongthong from Shillong is scenic & food prepared by the men/boys is simple & tasty. Time to handover the baton to women to get this place in order...amen.
