The house is in the centre of Komiza town/village/bay with its predominating of XVII-XVIII century Venetian baroque stone houses, stone streets, churches, castle tower, port. The house itself is a part of what used to be XVII century Jesuit mansion-like community/property. Komiza is built around crystal clear fishermen port and half a dozen beaches. Our house is very suitable for a group e.g. two to three families and children. All together, house has 4 typical bedrooms, 2 front rooms (accessory living rooms that can be used if needed as bedrooms, and one main living with joint dining space and main kitchen. Four bathrooms. Altogether ~200 m2 of interior space and almost 100m2 of privately shared garden and garden terrace exterior. You may inquire about renting a part of the house for a smaller group. Two of the three floors are organised as self-catering apartments within the house (having its own smaller kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living) providing good balance of privacy and community when in a group of family and friends. Some of the characteristic things that we strongly recommend when in Komiza: - Beaches just in front of the house and in Komiza are perfectly placed for everyday use (jump in the sea in front of the house before the morning coffee or for the evening splash) but it is also worthwhile visiting some of the unusual beaches around the island, sandy beaches, some hidden, some stone beaches, (if needed car or boat transport can be found in town) - Blue cave on the Bisevo island - Some of the traditional or even domestic type restaurants - Island products like vine, olive oil, salted fish (anchovies)... - Visit fresh fish market early in the morning, by directly from fishermen and make on the barbecue in our garden. - Our kayak for two persons is beautiful way to see Komiza from the sea and row around Komiza coast and nearby beaches. - If you are diving maybe you know for Vis underwater attractions but there are numerous other sport possibilities. Kids who like sports play every afternoon football, basketball and other sports on Komiza sport playground. There are tennis courts, bike roads in the island nature, try very popular Mediterranean type of bowling, - Big game fishing international competition is an attraction for participants as well as viewers - Several tourist agencies organize visits on the island or on the smaller surrounding islands excursions related to nature (caves, wine yards, bays), history (antique, middle age or from the modern period), or even one day visit to a very popular Hvar island/town - You can enjoy open-air cinema in Komiza, including one children movie each day. - Younger visitors like open air, beach café/disco/club with evening concerts, dj-s.. - Throughout the year there are a quality cultural happening like concerts, theatre expositions...Visit some of the churches in Komiza (classical concerts in the church with the oldest organ in Dalmatia, see almost a 1000 years of St Nicolas Monestry history).
This is an excellent location, right in the heart of town and by a great beach and the pier and all the cafes and everything. Had everything we needed, AC worked great in the hots days! Fully recommend.
Anbefales hjertelig! Tone Telnes
Excellent location close to the beach and town. Everything within a walking distance. Sure place for people who want to mix flexibly time on a beach with time in the town. Plenty of restaurants with quality food, especially fish. Convenient shops and the market with local produce. The house is very spacious with beautiful patio. The only drawback is that you have 3 floors with pretty steep stairs which could be a challenge for people with disabilities. For those who come with a car, please bear in mind that the nearest permanent free parking place is around 10min walk from the house and there is no possibility to reserve the place.

Vis island is linked with the city of Split by a car ferry and a catamaran (speed boat) 3-4 times a day in boath directions. The ride takes two hours. You may come with your own car or by a plane/train/bus to Split, in any way there is ten minutes ride from the Vis port to Komiza town. Buses are linked with the ferry timetable so the transport is on time, fast and smooth and not expensive (except for the car one way ferry ticket is around fifty euros; price for adult is around ten euros; bus ticket is no more than couple of euros). The city of Split has many airline connections with many European airports. We are at your disposition far any assistance regarding transport and other type of information.
