Enjoy the eclipse or vacation from our scenic Hill Country ranch retreat on the Saba River! Relax and watch wildlife from the secluded 1-acre homestead in the center of our mile-long regenerative cattle ranch or explore the pastures, hardwood forest, and private beach. The luxuriously appointed cabin includes a copper bath, high-speed internet and TV streaming. Propane grill, smoker and fire-pit are shared with the main ranch house. Near the acclaimed Wines of Dotson-Cervantes Vineyard. The Luxury Cabin is perfect for a fun family vacation, a Gal’s getaway, or a Guy's kayak/adventure weekend. Relax using the entire house, explore miles of trials through our regenerative cattle ranch, and cool off or fish at our private riverfront beach. Ask if you would like a private ranch tour, evening fire, UTV ride, kayaks, or anything else to make your stay more memorable. Unwind on the cabin's covered front porch with views of the river valley as the day winds down and enjoy a cocktail at the outside dining table. The peacefulness of the ranch house setting is like taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly. Then start the morning with your favorite beverage in the same beautiful spot and enjoy the beautiful sunrise. This home is an open concept with a cathedral ceiling throughout. The main room includes the kitchen, dining area, beds, and living/entertainment area. Bedding and lounging include a classic King bed, a trundle bed that can act as a couch (with one twin stowed underneath) or two side by side twin beds, and a luxurious leather arm chair. A full-sized rollout mattress is also available. The spacious bathroom shares the same cathedral ceilings and includes a luxurious copper bathtub and shower. Technology includes far reaching high speed internet, a 55" streaming TV with Roku and Netflix, and good cellular reception. A propane grill, green egg type smoker, and fire-pit are shared with the main ranch house. This house and the main ranch house are located within the 1-acre homestead, which is fenced off and in center of the mile long property to maximize seclusion, privacy, and wildlife viewing. Our ranch covers four district echo systems with a wide variety flora and fauna. Our beef cattle (all steers) will be roaming and grazing part of the ranch.

The Riverhawk Ranch cabin is a great place to escape and relax in the hill country. Day one we took a late afternoon walk around the property and enjoyed seeing deer. We ended the day with wine and watching the peaceful sunset. Next day, we woke up early to enjoy a vibrant sunrise and coffee. Later in the day we had a blast paddling the kayaks and a paddleboard around the river’s large pool bordering the property. That night we grilled steaks on the firepit and enjoyed dinner overlooking the river valley. In the morning we took our bikes out and had a nice ride to the low water crossing. The owner made sure we had a great stay. He gave us a ranch tour in his Gator and explained the ranch’s grassfed beef operation. The cabin kitchenette was perfect for preparing our meals and had a good set of supplies. The bathroom was clean and the copper tub a nice touch. The space was open and the bed comfortable. The internet worked well. It was just the experience we were seeking!
Andrew was very responsive and easy to work with. He provided clear information on check-in and features of the property. He also shared fun activities in/around the ranch. We checked in late in the afternoon and went to Brady for Dinner. Andrew was gracious to let us use the outdoor fire pit in the evening. It was very relaxing to watch sky full of stars and sip wine next to the fire pit. The cabin was very quiet. We slept very well. We cooked breakfast in the cabin, which had anything we needed (non-sticking pan, utensils, spices, etc.). We opted to eat breakfast on the porch to enjoy a peaceful morning at the ranch. We walked around the property after breakfast and saw several deers. The property is close to a river. We could fish or kayak although we did not have time to do it in this trip. We went to a winery nearby in the afternoon and tried some good wines. Overall, it was a great experience. We will definitely go back.
This ranch is fantastic! My family and I had a great time and Drew is an exceptional host. He goes above and beyond to ensure his guests are comfortable and it is such a beautiful area. Plenty to do on the ranch itself, the cabin, and river nearby. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to get away.
