We enjoyed a long term stay at Katia’s home this fall. It is a lovely property backing onto the Kagawong River with lots of wildlife to enjoy. We were warm and cozy with the wood stove and electric heat. The kitchen is stocked with quality cookware, dishes, and cutlery. Katia was wonderful to communicate with and attentive to any questions.

A true rustic retreat to enjoy.. great location, comfy beds, large kitchen and brilliant host. And even a canoe for the river at the bottom of the garden… hard to beat, hope to return!

Oriental rugs and stocked bookcases. Close encounters with hummingbirds, chipmunks and phoebes. Cool, shady verandahs and dark, starry skies. Espresso coffee and organic markets nearby. Much to love about this place.

Bill & Katia's home is in a great location to explore Manitoulin Island. It was great to have the space to ourselves with enough room to cook meals, hang out together and apart. :) We didn't get a chance to explore the water and take a trip in the kayak or canoe, but it looked amazing.

Where do we start. Bill and Katia’s home was everything we wanted and more. First of all the photos don’t do it justice. This cabin is a beautiful, cozy, well lived in home. My partner and I spent 3 months here and we could of easily stayed forever. We cooked good food (the kitchen is well stocked, and the spice cupboard was incredible) we read many books by the wood stove and watched the many birds, deer and even canoed down the river in March. Bridal veil falls is absolutely stunning, Sugar Bush coffee shop serves great coffee, Bare Naked beauty spa gives great massages and is just down the road, and Main Street express in Kagawong has AMAZING sandwiches. Hiking in misery bay and providence bay was great. Cup and saucer trail and M'Chigeeng trail we highly recommend. There are so many amazing beauties about this place we just know you will fall in love with. Walking just from the house down to the river on the property is beautiful. AND Finally… Katia is lovely, she was so wonderful to communicate with and just so sweet. We will forever cherish the amazing opportunity we had to stay in this BNB.
