It was a real delight to stay with Mona, the en-suite room in her house was perfect, exactly what we needed. She kindly let us store our bikes in her shed. I was travelling with my sister and Mona put a separate bed out for us as well. I would definitely stay with Mona again if we visit the Tongue area.

We only stayed one night in Mona’s house but we loved it! She welcomed us very warmly, with a hot cup of tea (and biscuits), and everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent (really good eggs!), we had a great discussion with Mona, we even got to hear a cuckoo who just arrived nearby. The bedroom is very nice, clean and comfortable (so is the bathroom), with a great view. We would surely recommend to stay at Mona’s!!

A lovely place to stop on our trip around the NC 500. Mona was very welcoming and does a great breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay with Mona! She was a friendly and accommodating host. We enjoyed chatting with her, and the evening tea was such a warm touch!
