A beautiful heritage house in the prime Annex district at Dupont and Huron. Your fully furnished live/work suite with shared washrooms has comfort and pampering in mind. The space and amenities includes a desk, shared kitchen, a tea station, washer/dryer...all you need for daily living. You just need to bring your suitcase, private toiletries and clothes. A 15 minute walk to UofT, Casa Loma, the ROM, Metro grocery store. One minute walk to the TTC Dupont subway station and Shoppers Drug Mart. Our 6 bedroom/3 bathroom heritage house is a unique Coliving concept that is created by the community for community. An eclectic mix of modern and vintage furniture, with whimsical touches, will bring out the curiosity in you. Room 1A in Huron House is on the first floor of our private home. After you come into our front door, your 1A room door is the first door on the right. This bright and airy room has large windows with wooden blinds, and a scenic view of our front yard. Privacy curtains have been provided for your comfort. The spacious room has been designed for you in this adventure called life. A mirrored closet with hangers, a queen bed, fluffy pillows, comfy throw cushions, crisp white sheets, fluffy duvet, an antique desk, a lamp, a work chair, fluffy white bath and face towels. For a third guest, a modern sofabed converts into a double bed. There's also lots of common spaces in the heritage house for some alone time or if you'd like to socialize with others. We know they'd love to meet you! One of the shared washrooms is on the same floor, just at the base of the carpeted stairs. The updated washroom on the second floor features a modern shower with a rain shower shower head, sink, toilet, towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. In the event of a fire, follow the fire protocols listed on the back of your door. If safe to do so, evacuate the floor by stepping out of your room and out the front door. Please note our house backs onto Dupont Street. North of us is the CN Railroad track. The white noise is part of the charm in this historic house built in the early 1900's. Earplugs are available at no charge.

The Annex district is at the heart of Toronto. The Annex is mainly residential, and streets are lined with tall trees dwarfing the large Victorian and Edwardian houses, most of them built between 1880 and the early 1900s. There are now over 500 buildings in the Annex that are protected by the Toronto Historical Board.
Huron House by Mimos Coliving is located 1 minute away from the Dupont Subway station. Nestled on quiet a tree-lined street between the world-famous Casa Loma, the popular Bloor Street and the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). We are walking distance to the University of Toronto campus (UofT). ***EXACT ADDRESS OF OUR HOUSE WILL BE PROVIDED AFTER BOOKING IS CONFIRMED.***
Along Bloor Street, there are many trendy restaurants, cheap eats, grocery stores and small shops. Koreatown, The Royal Ontario Museum, Casa Loma, The Bata Shoe Museum, The Art Gallery of Ontario, University of Toronto and Kensington Market are all within a 15-30 minute walk.
Our Huron House is in the Annex neighborhood in Toronto, which has a Walk Score of 94 out of 100...daily errands do not require a car. Nearby parks include Ecology Park Community Garden, Gwendolyn MacEwen Park and Aura Lee Playing Field. Attractions such as Casa Loma, Spadina Museum, UofT, Koreatown, Kensington Market and Chinatown, trendy Yorkville, the Royal Ontario Museum, Bata Shoe Museum and the Gardiner (pottery) Museum and more are all within walking distance.
Huron House is a two minute walk from TTC's LINE 1 (UNIVERSITY LINE) DUPONT STATION stop. It's a 20 minute ride to Union Station. Purchase a Presto card at a kiosk machine at any subway station to use the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) system. One swipe of your Presto card allows for unlimited riding for 2 hours. You can even jump on and off and go shopping or sightseeing!
If you have a car, there's few street parking spots in our neighbourhood. Please let me know if you have a car and I'll try to guide you on finding a spot.
My favourite mode of transportation is using the BikeShareTO service. I have an annual pass that's around $100 CDN for a year. You can also get a 30-min pass for $3.25 or a day pass. There is a BikeShareTO kiosk by the Huron Elementary School. If you're lucky, you can even find a charged-up e-bike to use!
