Unfortunately the host was not tracking that I was supposed to check-in that day due to a "glitch" in his calendar - so the place was NOT cleaned! Zero sympathy to excuses when I am travelling with a large family and paid several hundred dollars for an underwhelming place. This simply would not happen with a hotel and you're better off looking elsewhere. In short, the neighborhood is not welcoming, the place is dark and small, and the host is non-responsive. The property was not ready or cleaned and an absolute wreck upon check-in. It took some time for him to respond to my messages, starting with check-in instructions, and he only promised cleaning after "two or three hours." The property was in such bad shape that it would have taken another 2-3 hours with proper cleaning (by then 9 PM or later). He was very slow to respond and only after several messages and phone calls. In frustration, I contacted Airbnb to cancel. Hard pass at any price! Don't book! Not worth any risk!
