Get away from the routine and the busy city life and come relax in our off-grid cabin. We are 1h 45m from the GWB-NYC in 5 acres of land with access to a beautiful lake. Enjoy the peacefulness, the sunsets, the wildlife. Go kayaking in the lake, get inspired in the desk inside, relax in the Adirondack chairs on the deck or a hammock in the woods. We are close to hiking trails and swimming holes, cool bars and restaurants. The cabin is off-grid, no running water, the sink use a foot pump faucet, use a compost toilet (it doesn't flush) and the electricity is provided by a battery. The cabin features a cute cubic wood stove to keep it warm; firewood is provided for both the wood stove and the fire pit. There are stackable twin beds that convert to a king-size bed, with plenty of cushions to ensure comfort. The small kitchen has an off-grid water system that operates with a foot pump faucet and a small enamel sink for basic use which provides 5 gallons of unheated water. There is a camping stove for basic cooking; we provide drinking water from our well, a small cooler, but we do not provide ice. The kitchen is stocked with essentials for your cooking needs, including seasonings, pots, pans, cups, plates, silverware, etc. Remember, this is an off-grid cabin with no running water, and electricity is provided by battery, so please refrain from using items like hairdryers or electric heaters, as we do not have sufficient power. During cold months, from November to May, we place the composting toilet inside the cabin, and there is no shower during this time. From June to November, an outdoor toilet and shower will be available. The cabin includes a small beautiful desk inside, cozy Adirondack chairs on the deck overlooking the lake, or a hammock in the woods. We provide Wi-Fi.
