Our beautiful and private lake home, with 3+ bedrooms and two large bathrooms, is located on a stunning acre wooded lot. Echo Lake is part of the famous Sugar Camp Chain of Lakes, which also provides Class A Musky fishing -- hosting numerous fishing tournaments. Other accessible lakes include Dam Lake, Sand Lake, Stone Lake, and Chain Lake -- comprising 2,300 total acres of water. This secluded setting is located on the west side of the lake, with approximately 120 feet of private shoreline, and provides gorgeous views of the lake, woods, and sun rises. A private pier overlooks the lake with a sandy shoreline offering gentle sloping, non-weedy swimming. Enjoy the spectacular scenery from rooms on the main floor or from the fully finished walk-out lower level. The main floor has a large, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, great room with a wood burning stove, sunroom, master bedroom, large bathroom, and laundry room. There is a large covered deck on the back of the house, which is perfect for sitting outside (rain or shine). First floor sleeping accommodations include a king-sized bed and two twin (trundle) beds in the master bedroom with very large walk-in closet, and a queen-sized futon (and dresser) in the sunroom. The sunroom has a pocket-door, if privacy is needed. From the sunroom, you can access the covered porch, which overlooks the lake. The walkout lower level includes another large family room, desk area, two more bedrooms (both with queen beds), and full bathroom. There is also a full-sized futon in the lower family room. Likewise, the lower walk-out has a sheltered patio with gas grill, overlooking the lake. The 3-car paved garage area has plenty of parking in the driveway. The long 350-foot driveway and upper grassy landing area has plenty of space for off-street car and trailer parking. There are many amenities, including TVs operated by Amazon Firesticks (featuring YouTube TV), DVD players, Wireless Internet/WiFi, washer and dryer, dual zone central heat and air conditioning, microwave, dishwasher, lakeside campfire pit, picnic table, grill, canoe, and private dock. There are also additional games for the kids, such as Legos, Lincoln Logs, play tunnels and tents, and an old GameCube. Bring your own boat, or rent a boat or wave runner through the local marinas and businesses. The Sugar Camp Chain of Lakes offers a very private, scenic setting surrounded by the American Legion State Forest with minimal shoreline development. Most of the chain's shoreline is either privately owned or under the control of the Wisconsin DNR. The water level is controlled by a dam, so there should always be enough water to travel between lakes. Echo Lake (at 93 acres; depth 18 ft.) is the smallest lake, but also the calmest and quietest. There is plenty of room and depth for water sports, particularly as the deepest side of the lake is near our property. Likewise activities can expand to the other lakes, which include Chain Lake (201 acres; 19 ft.), Stone Lake (178 acres; 16 ft.), Sand Lake (547 acres; 25 ft.) and Dam Lake (732 acres; 32 ft.). There are three boat ramps between the five lakes -- on Chain, Sand, and Stone Lakes. Chain Lake is our preferred boat ramp. Enjoy the secluded and scenic splendors the Northwoods has to offer -- while being just minutes from great dining, go-carting, horseback riding, shopping, golfing, bike trails, snowmobile trails, and much more. We've been renting in the Northwoods for at least 50 years. So we bought our own place in 2012 to use ourselves and share with others. As we did growing up, you could stay at more traditional resort settings, such as Maplewood, Pitlik's, or Bear Paw - or you could stay in an exclusive setting with your own private home/cabin, lake shore, and pier- depending on your needs and interests. As you search for the best vacation spot, you will find that our location, accommodations, and rates are very competitive. Having personally rented all these years in the area, I can honestly say this is the nicest place that I have ever stayed -- although I may be a little biased. Since 2012, we have been renting our home on competitor websites, and have recently decided to also list on Airbnb. We have been rated 4.9 out of 77 reviews on another site.
