The Colibrí Apartment at Bird House is perfect for the professional traveler eager to immerse themselves in culture, Spanish Schools, the pueblos of the lake, and local entertainment. This private apartment is perfect for a digital nomad, offering Starlink internet and a dedicated work station. The apartment also has a sitting area, shelves, a clothing rack, two mirrors, and a coffee maker. The Colibri is located on the 2nd Floor in a the back of the property which is named Bird House. The Colibrí private apartment is a spacious one bedroom one bathroom space. There is a dedicated work station and a reading/ relaxing area aside from the bed. The bathroom has electric hot water heating and has a tiled shower. Artwork featured in the Colibrí is from a local graffiti artist (available for purchase) whose murals are featured throughout the Bird House property and broader neighborhood. The Colibrí apartment is comfortable and private, while also being apart of Bird House which enables guests to be as introspective or social as they want. We encourage guests to reach out with questions about the Colibrí apartment or activities at Bird House or the community/ Lake Atitlan. Bird House is a new 2-story cultural center with a foundation in learning and sharing ideas with each other. We will offer smoothies, drinks, and delicious food and treats for locals and travelers. The entrance has an open air courtyard with small rose and palm garden. Stairs lead up to the 2nd floor coworking space and AirBNB private apartments. On the first floor, in May 2024 we will offer private offices with desktops to rent. The second floor covered coworking area features Mayan murals from a local artist and is themed with natural building materials and a lot of plants! Beginning in April 2024, we will have curated cultural, community, and entertainment events in select dates from 5-9pm. There is a bar, balcony work station, tables, and stage for events. A hallway in the back leads to two private apartments (Colibri is one the largest). Quiet hours at Bird House for live in staff and guests is from 10pm to 8am.
