Comprising 2 adjacent houses on King st and a third house (the vestry with adjoining chapel) just two minutes walk across the conservation area. Moments from Chesil beach and the coastal path. Perfect for big families or groups of friends. Between the three houses we can sleep up to 22 guests across 11 bedrooms and we can seat you all at the grand dining table in the Chapel. Main catering in the vestry, but each house has its own kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and garden. Three lovely houses set a few minutes walk apart in chiswell, a conservation area of stone cottages on Portland, overlooking the sea. These comprise a three bedroom Georgian stone cottage, a four bedroom Victorian terrace house just across the lane and the vestry, another four bedroom house which adjoins the chapel . This is your entertaining space with a big kitchen to cook in, where there are sofas around the huge fireplace or seating for 22-24 guests around the grand dining table.

Chiswell is the oldest inhabited village on Portland, comprising centuries old stone houses clinging to the hillside overlooking the sea. Eighteen miles of west facing beach and wonderful sunsets.
The Cove Inn, across the road on the promenade, is 17th century with a fire in the grate and folk music on thursday evenings. Good homemade food.
Coastal path walks, wild swimming, tennis, bouldering, sailing, paddleboarding, skateboarding and wind surfing all within walking distance. Fancy's farm and the WWII museum for children or the young at heart. Birdwatching, horse riding and local museums too.
If you can bear to leave the island, Portland is well placed for all the sights of the jurassic coast with weymouth, lulworth cove, charmouth and lyme regis all within an hours drive.
Nearest train station is weymouth (about 7 miles away). Ring Weyline for taxis.
Plenty to do on the island so a car isn,t necessary - there is a local bus around the island to all the sights. If you want to go further afield, a car would be helpful - the bus service along the coast is slow and erratic.
