Our four nights here while visiting were Takayama was one of the highlights of our trip! The cozy house feels private and secluded, while only being a short walk to the life of the city. This was a perfect hub for time spent in Takayama or daytrips to nearby towns and outdoor activities. We hope to be back someday!

Chika’s place in Takayama is fantastic, highly recommended. Great location just a few hundred meters from the old town, amazing wooden bathroom and incredibly cozy space with tatami mats and fully equipped kitchen. I hope we get to stay here again. Also, check out the muku restaurant just around the corner - highly recommended local food, reservation via insta required.

I am very happy with my stay. All the eminities worked perfectly. they have unlimited hot water and two ac units with heat. the bathroom has a airtight door operating the tub and shower from the toilet and sink and transforms into a sauna if you want or you can exhaust the air with the touch of a switch. The kitchen has enough to cook your own hida beef you can get at a store near the jr station. not worth paying 20,000 yin on hida beef when you can get it uncooked for less than half! The location is perfect! Everything is walkable. you can also ship your luggage using the Family Mart close by.

We had a very pleasant stay! The accommodation was the most beautiful one we had on our whole trip through Japan. We stayed for only two nights and had bad luck with a day of just pouring rain. Luckily the accommodation gave us a perfect hideaway from the bad weather and we could relax in the spacious bathtub and use the day to wash our clothes with the awesome washing machine that also has a dryer function! Also there is a really cool vintage museum just a few minutes walk away - check it out! We highly recommend this apartment!
