Rustling Pines is a fantastic hidden get-a-way. If you like woods, water and the best Michigan has to give than you'll love this hidden gem. It is a beautifully redone 1940's cabin with a lot of charm. We rented the pontoon boat and the four-wheelers that my 3 1/2 year old loved just as much as we did. Randy was a fantastic host and was always a text or phone call away if we needed him. We saw wild deer and turkeys on our evening four-wheel ride in the woods. The lake was beautiful as well. So clean that you could see the bass and plenty of other fish swimming everywhere! My little guy spent hours trying to catch the minnows on shore. We also loved the call of the local loon couple on the lake. On one of my many walks around the grounds I noticed a ton of wild blueberry plants that were out of season, but would be plentiful picking when the time is right. If you are looking for peace and quiet in the woods with a comfy cozy cabin this is it! Jeff, Randy and co. were so accommodating every step of the way. Thank you for sharing your cabin. The cabin was absolutely beautiful! It had everything we needed for cooking and grilling. The pavilion overlooking the lake is probably one of my favorite features about it. The forecast for our trip said it was supposed to rain the entire time but luckily we had a good amount of sunshine and no rain until mid to late afternoon so we were able to fish and go swimming each day. The privacy of the property was fantastic. There was no one else around and it felt like your own little paradise! Truly a gem in the upper LP!

We had a wonderful GLAMPING trip with two families (4 kids) for a long weekend! Loved having the cabin to hide out in when our tents got too chilly. We even got our very own "Backwoods Butler", Randy, who showed us the ropes and was just a text away for any questions or needs. The deck/gazebo is absolutely gorgeous! Fishing from the dock was fun with the kids but we may try out the boat next time to find the trophy big mouths. Loved every minute and can't wait to come back!

If you're looking for a quite, private, relaxing, fun, beautiful getaway, look no further. I am so happy I found this cabin. Pictures truly do not do justice to this hidden gem. The owner is very responsive and caring, and his property manager Randy truly went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We rented the ATVs and pontoon boat both which I highly recommend. We saw tons of deer and wild turkeys around. The cabin comes stocked with everything you need- linens, cooking supplies etc. Once you experience this beautiful place, you'll want to book again right away like us:)

This past weekend was what dreams are made of in my book. Myself, my husband and our two boys (two and six) booked it for a last minute getaway and couldnt be happier with out stay! The cabin is very secluded and gated off to all other vehicles. The caretakers met us in town and lead us to the cabin. After entering the property, there is a thick sandy road leading to the cabin, that we almost got stuck in with our (front wheel drive) equinox. Another reason why we were happy to have the caretaker (with a truck and chain) to lead us in. The property was incredible. Photos just don't do it justice. The cabin was clean, well cared for and had everything we needed for our stay. Outhouse is very clean as well. Beds we comftable and we slept like babies! We rented the ATV's which I highly recommend! It was so nice to explore the trails and have a quick trip from the cabin to the pavilion instead of walking. We saw wild turkey and deer on the property. The sunsets were breathtaking and hearing the loons at night was such a treat. Fishing is good, too! Caught a huge bluegill and cooked it over the fire! Yum! I really can't say enough about this place... We will be back without a doubt! Huge thanks to Jeff, Randy and Zack for being there with anything we needed for our trip.
