Surrounded by mountains and nature with sweeping views of the Shenandoah Valley, you can truly relax in this cabin after a long day of hiking or outdoor adventures. Creating lasting memories such as roasting marshmallows or playing board games with your love ones. Enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful views of the surrounding area. Located only 7 miles from downtown Luray and the famous Luray Cavern, you’ll find plenty of activities to do and places to explore. Our house is located on 2.5 acres of land in the outskirts of town. You’ll be surrounded by trees and open space on a mountain side. The road leading up to the house is on a steady incline, and you can get there in a sedan, but during winter and under snow conditions, it is best to travel with a suv or a truck. Because the house is surrounded by trees and the nature, we deal with bugs, critters and power outages sometimes. You should set your expectations accordingly. But the lows more than made up by the beautiful sunsets, the colors of the seasons, and an opportunity for true relaxation. The house is: 12 miles from Thornton Gap Entrance Station for Skyline Drive 16 miles from Shenandoah River Outfitters 7 miles from Luray Cavern 30 miles from Front Royal We hope you’ll make yourself at home and enjoy: Cooking in the newly renovated spacious kitchen (stocked with all the necessary utensils) Playing board games Gathering around the outdoor firepit to make s’mores Stream music wirelessly on the porch Star gaze at night time The cabin is equipped with starlink internet, where you can stream Netflix and other streaming services. The home is BYOL (bring your own login). There is laundry machine and dryer located next to the kitchen.

We had a wonderful weekend at Serendipity Retreat, and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway near Luray. The house was clean, comfortable, and full of small touches that made the stay feel special. Plus, you can't beat the view. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Lixi's place was absolutely so beautiful. The colors and decor were A+. We loved the special touches like wine, s'mores ingredients, desk area with a monitor, external keyboard, and mouse. There were universal chargers around the house, didn't even need to bring out our own. the yoga mat in the closest was such a nice surprise. the blankets were super soft and cozy. Really made it feel like home. The house was super nice and clean, we very much appreciated that. Wireless speakers made for a great addition. Clearly marked fire extinguisher & first aid kit in case of emergency. 100% home away from home, did not have to think about a thing. Lixi and her husband were a big help when with any questions we had and even offered to help us when we had a flat tire (not from their property). 20 min drive from the entrance of Shenandoah National Park. Do not think twice, book Lixi's place for your next stay in Luray.
This property is the perfect location for a private Getaway! The entire property is well maintained and clean. The outdoor area is breathtaking and with all the different places to relax at it's hard to chose which one to pick. The inside of the house completely surprised me when i opened the door. Newly renovated, every room looks beautiful and the whole house is very spacious and truly feels like home! What a great stay! Please do yourself a favor and stay at Lixi's place. Enjoy the peaceful and quiet tranquility from the gorgeous morning sunrise to the late night sunset. This is truly a gem!! Not to mention, Lixi is also a great host and responded to any questions right away.
This was such a wonderful experience! Great location- close to trails, wineries and restaurants. The view from the cabin is breathtaking. You can enjoy the fire pit and watch the sun set over the mountains. The cabin was well stocked and had everything you need. Lixi was a perfect communicator. We would love to return!
We had such an incredible weekend getaway at Serendipity Retreat! Not only was the house spotless clean, Lixi really went above and beyond with little touches (charging stations, clear instructions throughout the house, labeling cabinets, etc). We really enjoyed the bonfire too! Would absolutely return!!

The house is located far away from the road, where you’ll feel secluded from other houses in the area. But please be respectful of the neighbors. Also, there are others dogs in the neighborhood, as well as deer, squirrels, and other wildlife. For the safety of all pets and wildlife, pets must be kept on leash in the outdoor space.
