ONE MAIN ISSUE: Running water This is the only reason for the low rating. There is some problem with the area’s water supply that started before we arrived and the owners/managers know about it (there is a mention of a “water issue” in a review from April 2024 and also the owners were inspecting the place when we arrived specifically because of the water issue). Right after the tour of the place ended and the manager left, we tried to shower and there was no water pressure upstairs & weak (unusable) water pressure downstairs. The property manager was very responsive and they came and fixed it but the fix only lasted until the end of the day - we woke up and had the same issue so we chose to switch Airbnbs. I think that once they figure out a durable solution for this, it will be an amazing place to stay. The problem was that this is a longstanding issue they didn’t warn us about and they tried to accommodate us when it was inhabitable. The host is definitely friendly & responsive!

The house accommodations fit our family size nicely and the pool & ping pong tables were fun, at-home activities for us. We like being 'out-of-town' but having the town and other activities easily accessible. The house was clean and well equipped with all that we needed. Although, we may have missed in the list of amenities that there is no oven in the kitchen, so were surprised to realize that upon making dinner. There were many other small appliances (electric frypan, crock pot, Instapot, air fryer, outdoor grill, etc.) that we used/could have used instead. Home Vacations staff were informative, responsive and friendly prior to and upon our arrival as well as at departure. Thank you.

This was my first time where I needed to check in at an office then follow three men (two were in training) to the house as they walk around taking video. I feel this should be done prior to our arrival or/and have someone meet you at the home with the keys. When we arrived the house was not ready and we had to wait an hour and was offered late check out but we were already checking out early for flights. So nothing was given. This house has a really bad ant problem and my concern is the door next to carport doesn’t have a seal so mosquitoes and ants and any other bug can get inside. Yes I understand this is a rain forest but doors should seal to keep these critters out. Even tho we filled up the jacuzzi it still didn’t work. Should be some instructions next to it for ease of use. The house is beautiful in a beautiful country. The accent lighting gives party house vibes. I do need to warn there is a Hen that sounds off every morning so bring some ear plugs if not an early riser.
