It was restored meticulously to keep its origin charm and colors while modernize to enable new world’s standards. In fact, many of the door locks and keys are original, from more than a century ago! The floor was remodeled by the same artisan who worked on the President’s Palace! You are not only staying in an apartment, you are experiencing a piece of Riga history. Most of the neighbors have lived in this building for decades, from their childhood and now as grandmas and grandpas. They keep a way of life that you don’t see anymore in other parts of the city. Hope that you will also respect and enjoy this aspect of the neighborhood. The apartment also has a great room layout. There is a door separating the dining area and the living room, so it can easily offer a lot of privacy if you are staying in bigger groups or families with kids. The windows look out into a quiet and peaceful courtyard. The location is perfect for exploration. You can easily walk to Old Riga and the many restaurants and bars, or take one of the many trams in surrounding streets. Two grocery stores (Maxima and Rimi) are literally just steps across the street. Families can explore Go Carts at Bernu Pasaule or take kids to the many playgrounds within walking distance. NOTE: the fireplace is for display, please do not use it! In the kitchen area you'll find everything necessary to prepare your favorite meals and all the basic kitchen amenities. You will find the washing machine here when the laundry is due. The bedroom has a large Queen size bed as well as a single bed to accommodate and extra guest if needed. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and basic amenities.
