allenbrook is a perfect place to stay if you’ve come here for snowboarding or skiing, very warm and spacious so it’s perfect to relax in after a long day. reception is extremely helpful and kind, would recommend.

A crisp and new fitout in an excellent location. We would have rated higher, however there was an unfortunate situation regarding the owner having some guests arrive quite late which resulted in us being quite sleep deprived to the point of loosing out on much of the next day (an expensive loss on a ski trip). As the listing is new we are sure the owners will be more sensitive about noise transmission through the floor now they are aware of the issue; however there seems to be minimal or no insulation between a high-traffic area in the space above the bedroom. Steps are quite boomy and the beams like to creak. If you are a sensitive sleeper, perhaps check with the host prior that they are able to accommodate your needs; after the first night - they certainly did for us (thanks!).

Really enjoyed our stay! Close to karasawa parking lot 2, and made it easy to ski right away if you already have your gear on-hand. There’s no fridge, but since it’s cold enough you can keep your foods in the basement or in a corridor between the entrance and living room.
