Erin's place in Mitchell was an absolute dream! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was the most well-stocked rental we've ever stayed in - it truly had everything we needed to whip up delicious meals. But Erin's hospitality goes far beyond the amenities. Taking her recommendation to explore the Sheeps Rock and John Day units of the Painted Hills was pure magic. The colorful landscapes were breathtaking, and we're so grateful to Erin for suggesting these gems. Back at the house, we enjoyed relaxing evenings with corn hole in the backyard, and the views for morning coffee and evening wine overlooking the hills were simply unforgettable. I can't recommend this place enough! If you're looking for a comfortable, well-equipped home base to explore the beauty of Mitchell and the Painted Hills, look no further!

We spent 3 nights at Erin's place while visiting John Day Fossil Beds. It's a great location that relatively close to the Painted Hills (we went twice) and an easy drive to the other units. Best of all, Erin's place was comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities we needed for our weekend exploring the area (good wifi, keurig coffee, etc). In addition, Erin provided very detailed info which made the checkin a breeze and made it super easy to use the amenities in her house. More importantly, she provided helpful information to help us plan our visit to the John Day Fossil Bed units.

Lovely home. We had dinner each night at Tiger Town. It was an unexpected find in a place as remote as Mitchell. Met many locals who were all polite and welcoming. The book left by the hosts with local recommendations was very helpful. Surrounding areas were breathtaking. While I have been to the national monument sites before, I have never been able to explore quite as much. This house is centrally located. The house is spacious. Much bigger than we expected. It has been nicely renovated. Accommodations were as described and comfortable. Thanks for the coffee and chocolates! My only suggestion is that a hot tub would be nice at the end of a long day of hiking, but I can’t have everything I want! Lol. But seriously, I would stay here again. Great find in a remote location. Thank you so much!

Wow - what a great place to stay! We felt lucky that Erin's place was available for our trip to Mitchell. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this amazing house. It was clean and tidy, and very well equipped. So many thoughtful extras in this house - even some chocolates! Truly, this is one of the very best AirBNB's we've ever stayed in. Our son loved the back yard and being able to ride his bike around the town and the nearby school's dirt track. We were able to store our bikes in the garage. The beds were super comfortable. The neighborhood was nice and we didn't hear any highway noise. Erin was a great communicator when we had a question. It was convenient to everywhere we went - the Painted Hills, the Thomas Condon visitor center, Smith Rock State Park, digging fossils behind the high school in Fossil, and other various hikes. Erin had some recommendations for hikes only locals would know about. We would love to return here in the future!

After a wonderful few hours at the Painted Hills we headed to Erin’s Airbnb. After a long drive from Portland, it was perfectly placed just a few minutes drive from the Painted Hills. Erin was super communicative, her home very clean and there were lots of cookware items. This was perfect since we’re vegan and couldn’t find accomodating restaurants within a few miles. Like I said, her place was clean and spacious, with a fenced in front and backyard, easy to walk our dog around. In the morning opening the windows and seeing the rolling cliffs and hills was perfect! We will definitely recommend this location to friends!
