Such a beautiful property. Hosts have excellent taste! The house is so easy to access everything at dungeness. We found all the neighbours, the staff in the Pilot pub and the fish shop to be so friendly. Dungeness is a really unique experience and the flora across the estate is so special.
just arrived home from a fabulous few days and Sunspot for our minimoon, the house is incredible, perfect for a few days of peace and quiet. absolutley would recommend.
We had a lovely stay in Dungeness. Such a special place and a beautiful restored house with a rich history.
Dungeness is a nature reserve. You can see rare birds, butterflies, wild flowers including the humming bird moth.
The pilot pub is a short stroll away and is highly recommended for fish and chips. The brittania pub is further down Into the estate and also sells food and drinks. The fish hut nearby sells fish rolls, fresh fish and chips and vegan offerings and local beers and is also highly recommended.
The RSPB visitors centre is half a mile away is a must for wildlife enthusiasts.
A trip to Dymchurch on the Dungeness Mini railway is a good day out. The trains are mostly traditional steam and some electric.
Exploring the beach with a camera and discovering interesting fishing artefacts makes a good day out. You find old fishing huts and boats, winches, fishing paraphernalia scattered on the vast expanse of shingle.
Hythe is only 30 minutes away with its old fishing town good restaurants and tea houses.
Hasting is 50 minutes and is now home to the Jerwood Gallery. Hastings is a hip and interesting seaside town with a great pier, good bars, shops and restaurants.
Buy fresh fish at the fish monger next door the fish hut or the fish shop next door the Pilot (5 minutes from the house)
There are local buses to most destinations and Dungeness station to Hythe is at th end of the road but travelling in a car (tho not essential) with sat nav is the easiest way to explore the area.

I am an artist and my wife is a furniture restorer and maker. We live with our lovely cuddly blonde german shepherd dog. We are open minded and friendly and love meeting new people whatever they are doing in life. It all interesting to us.
