Welcome to your retreat in the woods amidst the piñon and juniper trees of Northern New Mexico. We are new to Air B and B and are looking for our first-time guests! Please feel free to message us and chat about the property and get a feel for who we are. * This casita is the perfect opportunity to unplug from your busy life while also being part of a working farm with 2 dairy cows, chickens, piglets and gardens. Part of your stay can include fresh, organic products right from our farm! The casita is situated on our 5-acre property and part of the Ojo Conejo Farm. The casita is completely separate and private from the other structures on the property. The casita has its own private kitchen, workspace, bedroom loft with a queen bed, bathroom and cozy woodstove during cold seasons. The casita also has its own landline and access to high-speed internet for your convenience.

Do take your soul on a journey to this self-sustaining low footprint casita if you want to discover a sense of peace, well being and delight in feeling connected to the earth. We have utilized Air BnB over many years, and Jen’s place is at the top of our list! Stay in and reconnect to a quieter life, or drive the amazing roads of the high desert and discover gems of beauty farther afield, within an hour or two, there are so many options. There is a sense of purpose in how the casita is connected to sustainable efforts. We enjoyed the loving ways in which the animals of the farm were cared for as well! We felt so very well cared for here. Thank you Jen!
This awesome new cabin is both cozy and surprisingly spacious, perfect for relaxing and getting some writing done. The place stays warm even on super cold nights, which was a real plus. And the bed is the best! Among all the other new and beautiful features (gas cooktop, huge sink, adorable fridge) the cabin’s got this cool concrete floor that totally fits with the forest around it. Heads up though, you’ll want slippers or something because it can get chilly underfoot. The only times I really remembered I was in a cabin were dealing with the quick showers (5 min?) and the fascinating incinerator toilet, but honestly, they just added to the charm. The best part is the forest right outside. There’s literally a trail starting from the backyard. The hosts are great, made sure I knew how to get the fire going when it was cold, but otherwise let me keep to myself. Definitely can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!
Loved staying at Jen's place for a peaceful weekend away! The casita was beautifully constructed and had thoughtful details throughout, including the dozen fresh eggs from the surrounding farm and the fire Jen had going for me when I arrived. From the listing, I wasn't expecting the incinerating toilet, but Jen showed me how to use it and it worked like a charm. What a treat being able to walk out the back door and onto BLM land. I'll definitely be back for another quiet and restful retreat!
