自我介绍

We are a married couple who recently purchased the 5+ acre property, which we have dubbed Bosque Cottage, and who live full-time in the property’s main house. Inspired by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall (of River Cottage fame), Wendel Berry, and many others who seek to produce more than they consume and grow some of their own food, we are in the beginning stages of developing our homestead and are constantly working to improve the property and our guests’ experiences. One small step at a time, we are working to create a mini eco retreat that renews guests by providing rest and access to nature through interactions with both the tended garden and wilder landscapes. We hope to create spaces that inspire guests to appreciate the wonders of the natural world, a more sustainable lifestyle, and human creativity. Bart is an artist and teaches painting and drawing at UNM. Rachel is a librarian at the local library. Both love gardening, cooking and eating, camping, fly fishing, hiking, and any time spent outdoors. We also have two friendly dogs, Cinna and Dot, who live at the main house on the property.
