Our short stay in Cinque Terre was here and the apartment was very conveniently located but like others have said, you will hear the train. It’s right in town so everything is nearby with a school, town center, and train. All of which you can hear. There is no water view from the apartment but it is not far from it. Inside was very clean and decorated well. No waste basket inside the apartment. Also missing blinds that block light or privacy, which is important because it’s just by a busy square. Bed is very springy and can be squeaky. One thing to note unrelated to the apartment is if you are trying to hike from here to other towns, you will not be able to because it’s closed at Riomaggiore.

This home has very convenient location! Super close to the train! (Which has its pros and cons). You will hear the train all hours of the night. But you will be able to take the train easily within a 5 min walk. Buy the Cinque Terre Day pass for train and hiking and use the trains with ease! Pros: The home is clean and very well designed. Beautiful color scheme and nice appliances. The sea is beautiful and close by and you’ll experience a beautiful sunset there. Close to restaurants and downtown. If you like to go out late, you’ll love it. Beautiful views all around. Loved watching the sunset! Cons: If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay, you’ll be disappointed. You’ll hear the train all night, there is a public square right outside the windows and you’ll hear people talking & loud music. We had a hard time using the washing machine, and be sure to shower quickly as the hot water runs out easily. There’s steep steps up to the room, would not be good for rolling luggage.

The apartment looks like the photos, but please note there is no sea view and the photo of the sea is after you go down a few flights of stairs, around the corner, and down an alley. The apartment overlooks a school playground (noisy) and window's are in direct view of the main street so no privacy if you want the windows open. I've lived in NYC yet this apartment was noisier than that so I can only give it 4 stars. Clean apt and responsive host. There is parking for 35 Euro/day at the top of the town which we were strongly advised against, yet I'm not sure why.

Great location! The perfect base camp to visit the Cinque Terre. Plenty to do near by. Easy acces to train. The hiking is stunning. Catherine was very responsive. She gave us local recommendations. Her step by step directions to get into the Arbnb are very helpful. We tried to use Google maps, unsuccessfully. Use her instructions, you will need them.

Centrally located, clean, and updated! Would stay here again!
