First time visit to Makkah. Arrived from Jeddah Airport Makkah Haramain Train only 30 SAR (£8) one way ticket in recommendations of host. Arrived at apartment very spacious clean and hardly any noise or rush of people. There is no wifi but STC sim from airport has unlimited data and can share hotspot for like 150SAR (27£) plus it’s good to have a Saudi number. There are ppl selling them everywhere. Met with taxi driver who has a fixed rate and dropped us daily to Masjid Al Aisha fro niyat prayer and then Umrah and other places for a very reasonable rate. Mahmoud ask manager for his number you can use my name for referral. Building manger also had good service and always on hand for anything we needed from shops and other services nearby. Really enjoyed and will recommend to all my family. It’s distance makes up for the cost on expensive hotel with reasonable taxi price. Make sure to mention to driver Al Askan area and give address when returning from Masjid Al Haraam.
