We were in town for A&M graduation and booked Philip’s property. From the start, he was so welcoming, accommodating and friendly. He met us at the property for check in, showed us around and made sure he answered all questions for us before he left. He was very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. The property is AMAZING. So peaceful, clean and quiet. I cannot recommend this property enough! It is only a 30 minute drive to College Station and very easy to find. Philip is an incredible host. I wish that we could’ve stayed more than one night- but we will be back! 😊

I was in town for a day doing some work. I had a 37’ gooseneck with equipment, and wanted a place that had parking and was secure for my equipment. I reached out to Phillip last minute and responded quickly. The place was great. Thanks for the quick help and very nice place to stay! You did a great job on the barn.

We were looking for a quiet place to relax for the weekend when we came across Phil’s listing for the Burro Barn. This place definitely fits the bill! It’s not too far from town, but so peaceful! It’s super comfortable, nicely decorated and equipped with absolutely everything you might need. We woke to birds singing and enjoyed just sitting in the rocking chairs on a beautiful morning. My husband fished in the pond a couple of times during our stay and had a blast! Phil is a super host and was available to answer any questions right away. We’ve already talked to our friends about it and hope to come back soon!

My stay at the burro barn to enjoy the solar eclipse with my parents far exceeded our expectations! The birdwatching was stellar and feeding the donkeys and Simbrah cattle treats was a bonus. The fenced in yard to keep our 3 dogs safe and them being welcome was much appreciated. We didn’t need to venture out except for groceries at the Dollar General, as we didn’t want to leave this peaceful oasis. Bottled water, coffee/fixin’s, snacks and toiletries were generous. Philip should teach other Airbnb hosts about hospitality. We felt genuinely cared for and he even gifted me with a few bird-themed mementos to remember our special stay at his barndominium. I can’t wait to come back with friends to enjoy the ranch and its amenities— frisbee golf, cornhole, a stocked fire pit, gas grill, well-equipped kitchen, plenty of birds (Eastern phoebes and bluebirds, cardinals, Carolina wrens, a roadrunner, red-bellied and downy woodpeckers just to name a few) and the livestock. I miss it already!

Nobody hosts like Phil! First time staying in the Burro Barn but a loyal repeat guest to Phil’s spots. Everything you need is here and so much more. Peaceful, feels like home, never want to leave. 12/10 and will always be back 😁
