An ideal base for exploring the beautiful Purbeck Hills, this quirky split-level property has been imaginatively updated to provide cosy and stylish accommodation for up to seven guests. With a variety of secret levels and unexpected features, this is a lovely retreat for families or a small group of friends looking for a quiet holiday hideaway within easy reach of Dorset’s breathtaking Jurassic Coast. This traditional cottage has been intriguingly updated and decorated in a light and rustic style to provide a quirky and unusual living space. Please note, the property is set over several levels with a number of internal steps throughout. Steps lead down to the country-style kitchen/diner which is ideal for preparing your favourite meals. A few steps lead up from the kitchen to a small lounge, perfect for children to play in while you prepare the dinner. The cosily furnished main lounge is on the first floor and is a lovely space to unwind in, with sea views, comfortable seating and an open fire. A galleried study overlooks the lounge. There are two double bedrooms, a twin room and a single room. The garden features a patio with garden furniture so you can enjoy a BBQ or a glass of wine. The garden is enclosed and sheltered with flowering shrubs and bushes, providing a safe space for children to play. There are miles of wonderful rural walks from the doorstep, and nature lovers can explore Durlston Country Park (5.5 miles), Hartland Moor (6.5 miles) and RSPB Stoborough Heath (7.5 miles). Local attractions include The Blue Pool (7 miles), Dorset Adventure Park (4.5 miles) and Lulworth Castle (13 miles). Heading to the coast you can enjoy the beaches at Swanage (4.5 miles), Studland (6.5 miles) and Kimmeridge Bay (9.5 miles) or you can head inland to Corfe Castle (4 miles) and Wareham (9.5 miles).
