My team and I were attending the Arnold sports festival 2024 at the NEC and stayed at this location due to its size and location. it was well worth it, great location for a large group.
We had a lovely stay, would’ve been nicer if we stayed longer. The house was big, a little bit outdated but everything was working fine and it was in a very nice and quiet area. It took a while for the house to heat up when we turned on the heating but it was a big house so that was understandable. Communicating with Travelnest was also not a problem as they responded quickly to all my questions. Thank you!
House was as expected for our group of 13. There was a slight issue getting the heat on - would have been nice to have clear instructions provided in the house. The biggest issue our group had was hot water -- one of the two showers never had hot water for the entire 5 days, the other one would run out of hotwater after one shower. Host was constantly in touch with me about the issue, but it was never resolved. Our team had mostly cold showers -- not pleasant with the cold weather. The other suggestion would be - add more towels -- group of 13 had one each for a 5 day stay with no access to laundry. Such a nice home, a little maintenance and attention could make it 5 star.
When paying for an Airbnb the night before a wedding you don’t expect many things to go wrong with the accommodation, but we were very wrong. I was woken up to a big water leak from upstairs falling onto my feet in the morning, to make matters worse correspondence from Travelnest claim that they were already aware of this issue, which makes me question why they were renting out this place without sorting out this underlying issue. Then, on the day of the wedding we were surprised to find that the hot water does not work, not ideal on such an important day. The next day, although late, Travelnest gave us instructions on how to turn it on. I’m not sure why instructions were not provided earlier or turned on ahead of the arrival of guests. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back again, It’s a shame because the location of the property is beautiful.
