The positives are that this is a resort in an absolutely amazing location … and it has a pool. Sadly the negatives outweigh the positives. Everything is tired and worn out and in need of major refurbishment since the resorts hey day in the 1970s and 1980s. We were misled by the Air BnB listing too. We thought we were getting an individual two bedroom executive lodge on a hillside above the sea. Those are the tented rooms - the ‘whole resort’ photo doesn’t show the main hotel building where our room was. Add to this smelly drains, the room not being ready (at 5pm), unbearable heat at night (no air con) and a general feeling of neglect. I mentioned these issues to the owners - still waiting for a reply. Really disappointing. Be careful to understand exactly what it is you are booking.

When we arrived there was a wedding going on, so unfortunately they double booked us. Luckily the front desk was able to fit us into another house, we were glad to have a place to stay but also disappointed that we didn’t have the ocean view anymore. All it all it’s a beautiful location and we were happy with how staff dealt with everything. The scenery is gorgeous!

My family & I had a great stay at the property. Highly recommend. Very beautiful location, we will surely want to visit again, this time at the tenthouses!!

Love the renovations. We stayed at the Rockwater over a decade ago and it wasn’t great. When a last minute getaway offered us this option we weren’t so sure but it turned out to be a good choice and we will return soon. I realize some things are still in the works but what a change for the better. (Ps fix the mat outside the entrance door. The dip had people catching their foot and tripping).
