Rocco and Linda’s house is cozy and private, close to beautiful natural areas and about a 35 minute drive from downtown Portland. They are friendly and very happy to share recommendations. We didn’t have time to do any bigger hikes, but Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park is a few miles away and was so beautiful — ocean meets forest, with views of the little surrounding islands. One downside of the room is that the bathroom doesn’t have any counter space or shelves to store things or spread out a little when getting ready. Overall a peaceful and unique place to stay and enjoy Maine!

Rocco and Linda's home is very nice, several miles from Freeport. Arrived at dusk; Linda escorted us up in case we had any questions. Warm day so Linda had turned on the A/C ahead of time and adjusted it higher which helped it cool down to a comfortable level fairly quickly. The queen bed and day bed were comfortable. There is a full sized sofa and several chairs, tables and lighting well situated, furniture mostly antiques of a rustic sort and went nicely with the natural wood framing. There were books and periodicals to acclimate visitors to the area. The bathroom is small but certainly everything we needed and very clean. There is no kitchen, per se, but a small refrigerator, microwave, hot water pot, assortment of teas, Starbucks coffee to be used with a "pour over" filter appliance for making a single cup of coffee. The closet has an assortment of plates, bowls, silverware, etc. We purchased our food out and ate on the very pleasant screened porch, quiet and peaceful.

A truly magical stay ! The location is stunning and the home absolutely charming. Rocco and Linda were extremely kind and friendly. They made us feel right at home! So many great recommendations and it was always a pleasure talking with them.

This is an awesome place to stay if you like walking, hiking, kayaking and/or biking because all of that is available outside your door or very nearby. If you like shopping, concerts, restaurants,coffee shops, ice cream etc., only a 10 minute drive to downtown Freeport along with free activities (yoga, games, concerts) sponsored by LL Bean. If you want to relax, read, drink wine or do a puzzle just settle into your well designed. room or hang out on the beautiful screen porch. Private entrance to your room and to the screened in porch provides easy access and privacy. Also, chatting with host as much or as little as you like. Rocco and Linda are great host! Nearby Bow Street market offers healthy freshly made food at a affordable price which was a great alternative to just eating out. Fridge, Microwave, dishes and glassware available in room for easy meal prep. It will be our go to place whenever we are back in the area.
