Between Glengarriff and Bantry, my idyllic organic farm is bounded by 2 rivers, near the Wild Atlantic Way, Sheeps Head, Beara way and Caha mountains. There is an organic vegetable garden also hens. Please be aware phone coverage and wifi speed is not good It is a paradise in any season, set in 25 hectares of woodland, bog, rivers with waterfalls and ponds. It comfortably sleeps eight, but possibly eleven adults, so is a perfect haven for a large group or families with children. Access to private river with waterfalls and forest and bog land walks. The house has 6 bedrooms - and a very spacious lay out, so plenty of room for both privacy and group activities. A very well equipped kitchen and good size dining table, two large fridges and freezers to store all your goodies! Dog friendly as long as dogs kept under control, there are hens and a dog and cats on the premises. Great for a group or family holiday - even in October and November - with central heating and cosy open fire, limited logs supplied.

Excellent gîte dans une campagne préservée et proche de la péninsule de Beara et de la petite ville de Glengariff. La maison est très propre, très bien équipé et correspondait tout à fait à la description. La jardin/parc aux alentours est un endroit rêvé pour les naturalistes ou simple flâneur: cascades, rivières sauvages, mares, zones humides, bois, prairies naturelles... Quelques départs de randonnée à proximité. Christine est très accueillante, discrète tout en étant très disponible. Je recommande!
This was a true taste of the country. The house was clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly have at home. There were fresh garden vegetables and eggs, amazing hikes with waterfalls a short walk away, and quaint villages just a short drive away. Christine was incredibly responsive and not only checked in on us multiple times, but also took us swimming in the ocean one morning! This was the best AirBnB I’ve ever experienced!!
Beautiful home in a beautiful location. We had difficulty with the Wi-Fi which was problematic for us with teens but a great home for young families or a group of adults. Would highly recommend.
Great location with easy access to both Bantry and Glengarriff to explore West Cork. Spacious, clean house with friendly host
Entire place is well equipped, especially the kitchen. Plenty of space in communal areas with ample toilets/showers etc. Location is very remote, be prepared to drive to shops etc. Drawbacks, Wi-Fi/internet is extremely poor, non-existent on cloudy/bad weather days, and when it's at it's best it's not good for multiple users/streaming etc. (it states so in the hosts book), make sure you know this ahead of time. Cell phone signal extremely poor, again especially on bad weather days, (had to drive up the hill a few miles to get service). Hot water needs management, make sure you stay ahead of your needs (IDK what it would be like with a full house of 12, we only had 8). These two reasons are the main reasons I only rated 4 stars and not 5, but these two items made it a difficult stay. Also, the trash/recycling/food waste situation is a hot topic with the host, too much to deal with on vacation with a large group.

Friendly people, wild mountains, rivers, walks! Bantry has Organico shop and deli, Friday market, local crafts and a cinema and pool for wet days. Beaches, nearby golf courses. All you need to inspire and enjoy! It is well situated between Bantry and Glengarriff. The Sheep’s Head, Barley Cove beach, the Mizen Head, Beara peninsula and Killarney National Park are all within easy access for day trips. A great place from which to explore the south west of Ireland. When at home one can simply enjoy the peace and beauty of the place!
It is necessary to have a car to explore West Cork as there is no public transport within a mile of the property. Of course bikers will also find it a dream spot and there is good walking to be done in the area.
