Stay in this modern farmhouse nestled in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. This quiet farm setting is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Enjoy the stunning view as the sun slips behind the hills. Located 2 miles to downtown Boerne, 14 miles to San Antonio, and 36 miles to Fredericksburg's shopping and wineries this luxury yurt is the place to connect to nature on a beautiful farm. Guests will enjoy our hen's farm fresh eggs found in the fridge and homemade goat milk soaps in the shower. Sprawling hills abound! The farmhouse (formerly a barn) is located on top of a hill with unadulterated Hill Country views behind it. Dine at the picnic table while taking in the breathtaking sunset views as the sun sets over the hills. Outside in the yard enjoy watching the Pygmy/ Nigerian Dwarf goats frolic and the horse graze in the adjacent paddock. For sleeping seven: the farmhouse has two queen beds that sleep two each, the couch sleeps one, and the each of the recliners opens up for sleeping one each. Clean sheets, pillow cases, extra pillows and blankets are all provided in the linens closet in the bathroom. Shopping and restaurants at The Hill Country Mile are only two miles away and delivery is available when you order from local pizza delivery Marcos Pizza or Dominoes, or use your Grub Hub or other dining apps for many other options to dine-in. Just be sure to provide them with the gate code when receiving deliveries. Do you have an interest in permaculture? Come see our newly established 179 feet of swales and berms. The berms are sprawling with red clover, black eyed peas, alfalfa, and oats. If you’re interested in learning more about what we are working on with the guidance of a certified permaculture consultant at our hill country oasis, then please ask us for a free tour! The highlight of my trip has definitely been spending quality moments surrounded by nature & animals here at Ancient Roots Hill Country’s place ; especially memorable due its breathtaking landscape views combined w/ hospitable farm owner , ensuring you have everything you need (including lots fresh eggs straight from their coop!) Upon awakening in the morning we were warmly greeted by Matilda, a beautiful and friendly horse. After giving her some pats and rubs on the neck, we headed to the goat pen where we spent the day playing with a bunch of frisky baby goats. This has been by far the most amazing and satisfying AirBnb I have ever been to. 🐐🩵💕
A tranquil escape in the hill country. The farmhouse had a view of the hills from the living room window and I enjoyed watching the sunset. The interior was decorated in a cute farmhouse style and the banana bread was a nice touch. If I had stayed longer I would’ve found the included washer and dryer a great perk but didn’t use it as my trip was short this time. I will definitely visit the farmhouse again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ancient Roots Hill Country! Our host was quick to respond and most helpful when we had questions. Her love for the land, and for her vacation rental, was obvious. The 2-bedroom farmhouse is open and spacious, yet feels so warm and cozy. Loved all the homey, farmhouse decorations. The special touches of homemade banana bread, chocolates, fresh eggs from the farm's own chickens really brought the farmhouse to life. The hill country surroundings were so peaceful and quiet with the occasional sounds of wild turkeys. What a delight it was to look out the kitchen window and see baby pygmy goats climbing trees! Truly a little "peace of country," while still just a couple of miles from the shops, food and entertainment in Boerne. The perfect getaway from city life! Definitely looking forward to our next opportunity to visit again.
The Ancient Roots Hill Country casitas was wonderful. The casitas itself was amazingly clean and comfortable. The host was responsive and charming. The location was very peaceful. And the view of the sunset was fabulous. I highly recommend this airbnb.
