海豚沙滩 · 整套民居 · 2室2床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Bonnie Dune, a nest in the sands
About This Space One thing about Bonnie Dune is that you will leave wishing that you could have stayed longer. Nestled in the coastal landscape with windows that overlook the glorious blue hues of Nine Mile Beach, with the magnificent Hazards and Freycinet Peninsular backdrop, Bonnie Dune is a simple yet stylish single level beach home. Its location on 5 acres makes it screened and private. It has direct access via a private path through the dunes to the beach, a mere 80m from the house.
We loved Bonnie Dune! Megan is an amazing host, and we were lucky enough to be her very first guests. Everything was perfect. Megan has thought of everything. Instructions are very detailed and she has left nothing out. Highly recommend Bonnie Dune for a peaceful, restful and soul restoring break. I took the opportunity to bring two teenagers and one adult child along for some reconnection, and the space fitted our needs perfectly. We walked the beach, played some games, which Megan had supplied, explored the area and enjoyed the space, which felt like home. Perfect escape for couples, friends or a small family. We highly recommend Megan's beautiful space to anyone that needs to feed the soul. Thanks so much Megan. Katherine and family.
At Bonnie Dune you can choose between doing everything or simply relaxing and doing nothing.
A few suggestions for the “do everything list”:
- Take an almost never-ending beach walk right on the doorstep.
- Visit the popular Melshell Oyster Shack for an Oyster tasting (a 5km drive down the Dolphin Sands Road).
- Drive down to the end of Dolphin Sands Road to Bagot Point Coastal Reserve and swim or fish in the calm waters at the mouth of the Swan River.
- Take a bike ride on the beach at low tide (3 bikes available for beach riding only).
- Go a little further afield and take a trip to Coles Bay and the Freycinet Peninsular (45 mins by car) and do the Wine Glass Bay Look Out Walk.
- Visit some of the award-winning vineyards close by for wine tasting including the spectacular Devils Corner wine and food centre, or the more rustic vineyard at Craigie Knowe.
- Book a table at The Waterloo in Swansea. Tasmania’s quirkiest beachside restaurant, and enjoy simple, generous and seasonal food.
A few suggestions for the “do nothing list”:
- Sip a predinner glass of champagne at our ‘dunes Love-Seat’ just above the beach and watch the moon rise.
- Retire to the lounge in front of a fire and drink some delicious local wine or have fun with a board game (Scrabble, Monopoly, Bananagrams, chess, cards, Trivial Pursuit supplied).
- Binge a TV series or catch up on a movie on our smart TV or choose a title from the collection of classic DVDs.
You reach Bonnie Dune by car. It is located approximately 10 mins drive from the township of Swansea.
自我介绍
My partner and I came across from Sydney to Tassie seeking a midlife adventure and settled in Hobart. We came across Dolphin Sands almost by accident and were both captivated by the beauty and uninhabited nature of Great Oyster Bay. We use Bonnie Dune as our place to relax as well as providing a base from which we can explore the rest of Tasmania. It is such a special place and one that we love to share.
