5-star stay. First, the location is about as good as it gets. You have everything you need within walking distance. If you want to get into Manhattan, the apt. is 2 blocks from the L train and you are only 1 stop from Manhattan. You can walk out of Susan’s front door and be in the East Village in about 10 minutes. McCarren Park and Greenpoint are just a short walk away. There is easy access to the G train at both Nassau Ave. and Metropolitan Ave. The place itself is huge by NYC standards. The shower was large, the kitchen has everything you need, and there is a rooftop patio area that is nice for morning coffee or late night relaxing. Susan respected our privacy but was very quick to respond if we needed anything. The only thing I will note is that the Washer/Dryer is not in the unit. It is shared by a couple units. We never had issues using the laundry, but I wanted to note this since I don’t believe it’s specified in the listing. Highly recommend this place!

We had a wonderful month at Susan and Joe's. Perfect for exploring Williamsburg and Manhattan. From the front door to Union Square on the L in 10 minutes was our regular journey, and made everything very accessible. It;s also close to the East River Ferry - a fantastic way to access other parts of the City. We quickly felt very much at home and the apartment was the perfect base for a fantastic trip.

The loft apartment in Williamsburg was just perfect for our six-week stay in NYC in September/ October 2023: it is huge, full of light and sun and provided with extraordinary art: paintings, installations, sculptures. The loft apartment is very aesthetically, pleasing and generously furnished, and it contributed significantly to our well-being. It is located on the 1st floor of a former cork factory with a roof terrace on the 2nd floor. On the first floor of the house there is the gallery with contemporary art of the loft owners. The loft apartment is ideally located: in the middle of lively Williamsburg with restaurants, coffee shops and shopping in very close proximity. Public transportation to Manhattan is excellent: the subway is 5 minutes away. The host Susan is very pleasant and generous, always available and always friendly: a real superhost. We would rent this accommodation again anytime, it is the best airbnb apartment we have rented in the last 10 years. René Steimer

If you're even considering staying here - take this as a sign to book! I did a month long stay & the place was as lovely as the host! Susan was helpful, responsive & respectful & the space + private terrace was gorgeous. The bed was comfortable w/ clean linens, washroom was spotless & stocked with toothpaste, toilet paper, a bunch of face/hand towels & body towels. Shower & bath tub were an absolute dream, w/ warm water, amazing pressure, bath salts & body wash. Kitchen came w/ EVERYTHING you could possibly need - blender, coffee press, microwave, stove/oven, dishwasher, dishes, cups, glasses, baking supplies, etc. The main highlight was the LOCATION - you couldn't ask for a more central place. The best grocery stores, cafes, bodegas, restaurants, etc within walking distance & it's a quick 3 min walk to the L to get you straight into the city in 15 mins. Air conditioning was a bit warmer bc of how hot NYC summers are, but nothing this amazing place didn't more than make up for.
