My young family had a great stay at Sunflower. The cabin was completely new and clean, with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the massive soaking tub. Michael and Sierra were so kind and welcoming, and made us feel at home. We'll definitely stay here again.
Sunflower Resort is on a private lane and is very very quiet with no street sounds. It is its own little "neighborhood" with its five single-story private homes and 2-story duplex.
Traveling to the Methow Valley is best done by private automobile, as public transportation options are limited. Use G Maps to navigate to our 103 Norfolk (Sunflower Resort) and 105 Norfolk locations (Methow Valley Wellness Center) locations. (Those using public transportation upon arrival will find ease in getting around the valley with our Link transport coming right to the Wellness Center every hour.
Travelling from the North:
1. Follow Highway 20 down from North Cascade National Park's mountain passes. Once on the valley floor, drive past the Mazama junction. It is 15 miles from Mazama junction to Winthrop.
2. Once at the 4-way intersection of Highway 20 and Riverside Ave, take a right onto Riverside. Drive through this portion of Winthrop's downtown.
3. in 1000 feet, you come to a bridge at a 3-way intersection.
4. Turn right here and proceed over this Methow River bridge.
5. Immediately after leaving the bridge, you come to a 3-way intersection where you will bear right onto White Ave. Go in the direction of the National Fishery (the biggest sign at the intersection)
6. Continue for 200 feet on White Ave. Then take a quick left onto Norfolk Rd, just before the very prominent neon green/yellow crosswalk sign.
Our first sign for Sunflower Resort and the Methow Valley Wellness Center, off to your left, is at this intersection of White Ave. and Norfolk Rd.
7. Continue down Norfolk Rd for 500 feet until you reach the parking lot for the MV Wellness Center. Just off to the right as you enter the parking area, you will see the arched Methow Valley Wellness Center sign featuring a large metallic poppy.
8. Proceed through this Wellness Center parking lot 200 feet further and you will arrive at Sunflower Resort.
9. Arnica House is the first 1-story house on the right. The name of each house is on the right-hand post of its respective 2-car carport. The name is also to the right of the door, as is the key lockbox. You were texted and emailed the 4-digit combination for the lockbox the day before your arrival.
From the South:
1. You will be coming up Highway 97 from Wenatchee toward Pateros.
2. Just before reaching Pateros, take a left onto the Hwy 153 and drive N/NW for 42 miles until you reach the outskirts of Winthrop.
3/ After passing the IGA grocery store and the Pardners Convenience store and gas station on the right, you are close.
4. When you reach the first 3-way intersection past the grocery and gas station, take a left onto White Ave. (If you go over the bridge and into downtown Winthrop you have gone the wrong direction.)
Then proceed to follow steps 6 through 9 above, to get Sunflower Resort and Daisy Cabin.
自我介绍
Our vision came to life first with starting the Methow Valley Wellness Center in '97, and then the Sunflower Resort, in '24. We are thrilled to have spaces where new friends can come to relax, heal from health challenges, recover from life's stresses, and enjoy family and friends. We'd love to help guide you to our favorite spots in the Valley, as well as toward scheduling a helpful health or esthetic experience at the Wellness Center.
