we drove 2 hours to Rodrigos place only to get greeted with an extremely rude live in host named eugenio, he didn't let us in and told us that we didn't have a reservation. I called Oscar or Rodrigo I forget and they said it wad a miscommunication but at all good. Well when we went inside Eugenio was still rude and none of the rooms were ready, still sheets and towels on the bed with no covers. The pool was also unpleasant as it didn't look clean. Ultimately my wife didn't feel safe with the host either so we choose to get our refund back which Oscar completely agreed. The place looks like it has potential but not in these conditions. We drove another 2 hours back to San salvador which ruined our last day of vacation. I do not recommend.

costa azul is one of my favorites beaches in El Salvador. Great location and a luxury house. we had too much fun, you can walk by the beach and go for a drive in the sand with a 4x4 to the bocana and watch the sunset. the house is very private and with a lot of open spaces, pool was great. house very well decorated.
