We had a fantastic stay at the Yurt. Tim and Judy were the most accommodating hosts including their friendliest dogs. The place is a wildlife sanctuary and exactly what we came for. Our cat had also enjoyed her time exploring around and spying on any creature she would find. There's so much to explore in the sorrounding area and 4 days stay at The Yurt was so worth it! Tim's have a great sense of humor and our overall experience is highly recommended! We will definitely come back in a few months time! Cheers!! -Kamil & Geda

Thanks Tim for a lovely stay. We loved the yurt. It was so homely and snug. Great for getting away from modern life for a bit! It's in a lovely setting in the woods, but also not too far from the house and bathroom. We even saw a red squirrel running around in the treetops from bed!! What a treat! We hope to come back and spend some more time exploring the area at some point.

We had a fantastic stay at Tim and Judy's (2 adults and a dog). The scenery is breathtaking and great if you're looking to get away from it all. We pretty much stayed at the site and explored the surrounding area, which did not disappoint. The yurt is very spacious and cosy, especially when you get the fire going. Some of the highlights were: exploring the surrounding area, enjoying the sauna after a day of walking, cooking on the firepit and we drove to get some delicious chocolates from the 'Iain Burnett Highland Chocolatier' shop. Tim , Judy and the dogs were very welcoming.

Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience at the yurt. This was mainly due to the main road into Glen Lyon being closed as it was washed away a week before our arrival. our hosts sent us a message advising us of the alternative route but did not outline the fact that this would add an hour to any journey in or out of Glen Lyon and that it's a really difficult drive up the side of loch Tay then over a single track mountain pass ( not even marked on the map,) over the top of a Munroe Ben Lawers. This means that when you're in the Glen for a short stay it isn't really feasible to explore the surrounding area .We only stayed one night out of three because of the remote location and the fact that storm Babet was due to hit Thur/ Fri and the yurt is in a woodland which we didn't feel was safe . Tim & Judy were kind hosts who let us use their Internet to make alternative plans however if we'd been honestly and properly informed initially we would have cancelled our trip.
