霍普韦尔(Hopewell) · 树屋 · 1室2床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Treehouse Waters
Beautifully crafted from harvested lumber from the property, this A Frame treehouse is situated right on a river, with the front deck only a stone's throw from the water. This is not your child's treehouse even though children are welcome. It boasts over 720 square feet of relaxing comfort. A fully equipped gourmet kitchen, comfortable dining area, relaxing living room with leather sectional and sleeper sofa inside, a second story loft with queen bed, and a full bathroom with shower. The treehouse is accessed by 14 easy steps in the back and it is about 10 feet high at that point. The front that overlooks the Raystown Branch of the Juniata is about 15 feet high from the ground and about 30 feet above the river for a fantastic view. There is a calm, still section of the river perfect for swimming in front and to the right and there is a moving riffle to the left that tumbles over some rocks to create that gentle water sound that can be heard from the deck and even inside with the doors open. The treehouse is suspended on two giant trees in the middle and supported by posts at corners and edges. Most of the treehouse was made from lumber from trees growing close by. There are at least 8 different kinds of wood in the treehouse. Speaking of the river, it is one of the best small mouth bass fisheries in the state but it is also loaded with natural breeding catfish, pan fish, carp, and other species. It warms up nicely for wading and swimming. It is also a free flowing river over 50 miles above and 15 miles below, where it flows into the Raystown Lake. Needless to say it is a great canoeing, kayaking, and tubing river. We'll even supply a canoe and kayak. And there is more. Just across the river is a very scenic bike trail called the H&BT Trail. It is 12 miles long and mostly goes along the river. You can access it by paddling across the river and walking up over the bank or a short 3 mile drive to get to a trailhead. In addition to that the entire mountain across the river, Kimber Mountain, rises to 2000 feet and (almost 1000 feet above river elevation) and it includes 2600 acres of Pennsylvania State Game Land. It is a primitive hiking and climbing paradise.
