This beautiful, rustic pre 1951 building is located in the heart of Monchique. Within walking distance are restaurants, cafes, local shops, local grocery stores (offering many local delights from chorizo to wine) hairdressers, pharmacies, yoga and pilates studios, a municipal pool plus stunning areas to hike nearby! The tourist office nearby offers information on local attractions and the house is just off the central square and forms part of the main walking street in Monchique town. This was our home for a year and we loved getting to know the "Monchiqueiros" (term for the locals) who appreciate a greeting in passing. The buzz of the city centre is so welcoming and vibrant that it was truly lovely to have lived there! The house itself is charming and rustic and has many of its original features. It is on two levels with the top level being an open plan kitchen and lounge and a narrow terrace to the front of the house. This level offers a fully fitted kitchen with appliances and accompanying instruction booklets including oven, fridge, washing machine and washer dryer. There is also a WC on this level. It also has free Wifi, a TV with local terrestrial channels. The first floor level has two bedrooms, one master room and one smaller room for one adult or child. This room has a pull out bed so it can actually facilitate 2 children in the bed if needed. This level has a bathroom with shower. This is strictly a non-smoking house. There is a small, narrow terrace where guests can smoke outside
