Great little place which was well equipped. Great for visiting 7 Stanes and MTB’ing. Newcastleton is very quiet and would not rely on getting an evening meal there.

A wee hidden gem. As one of us visiting isn't 100% on their feet this bungalow being on one floor was perfect. The whole set up was great, livingroom, big family table, then kitchen, just the way we like it. There's a parking space outside with access directly into the hall or through patio doors to the kitchen, so no need to go the long way with all your kitchen supplies. Beds had top quality mattresses and the pillows ( so often not up to snuff ) were very comfortable. The heating had been put on for us before getting there which was lovely to be met by. There was a log burner with ample supply of wood for us when we needed it. Just around the corner there's a shop, which was even open on New Years Day. Then a 5minute toddle along the same road there was a great pub called The Trap & 2 hotels. Also plenty of lovely walks locally, which when we come back we'll definitely be taking advantage off. A totally hassle free wee holiday with great communication from Richard. More than 5star!

Richard was a good communicator and let me know there had been a burst pipe and I was given an option to reconsider my stay. We decided to go ahead as we were having Christmas with friends. The property was still a little damp but this was probably due to the burst pipe. It had an excellent wood burner which made the living area cosy. The main double bedroom was warm and very cosy. Unfortunately, the twin room was just off the area where the burst pipe had occurred so was still a little damp. We were able to make a couple of nice dinners and the dining area was spacious. The main bedroom has an en-suite and the walk in shower was excellent. The main bathroom had a bath and no shower (I prefer a shower so we only used the shower) under floor heating in this bathroom made it nice to walk on in the morning. The village was friendly and was well stocked.
