**MUSÉE DU LUXEMBOURG:**
You can easily visit the Musée du Luxembourg, which occupies the northwest corner of the Luxembourg Gardens.
This museum may be modest in size, but it hosts renowned temporary exhibitions that appeal to museum enthusiasts of all ages. Some exhibitions are specifically tailored for children. The Musée du Luxembourg was the first French museum open to the public in 1750. Moreover, it is managed by the Senate, whose buildings are adjacent to those of the museum. While the Senate's missions are primarily political, the French institution also aims to showcase French heritage.
**JARDIN DU LUXEMBOURG:**
Located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, between the Latin Quarter, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, and Montparnasse, the Luxembourg Gardens are one of the favorite green spaces for Parisians and tourists alike. It spans twenty-three hectares, with twenty-one open to the public.
The garden is divided into a French-style and an English-style section, separated by a forest and a large octagonal basin. One hundred and six statues and two sculpted fountains, the Medici Fountain and the Monument to Eugène Delacroix by Jules Dalou, are scattered throughout the park.
For entertainment, visitors can play chess, bridge, tennis, admire the artworks regularly exhibited on the exterior gates, or simply sit on a chair and enjoy a moment "in the green."
**Raspail, the historic organic market:**
Since 1989, around fifty merchants (producers and resellers) have gathered at this entirely organic market. It is one of the pioneers of organic produce in Paris and offers a wide selection of fruits and vegetables, as well as grocery stands and caterers. It is bustling with people on Sunday mornings.
Raspail Market, between Rue du Cherche-Midi and Rue de Rennes (6th arrondissement). Sundays from 9 am to 3 pm.
