On the banks of the Kentucky River in the heart of historic downtown Frankfort, this charming bungalow is footsteps from local restaurants, bars, boutiques, and attractions and is central to the Bourbon Trail and world-famous horse farms. Less than an hour's drive from Louisville and Lexington airports and less than 1.5 hours from Cincinnati, we are convenient to everything the Bluegrass has to offer. Stay close to it all while enjoying the peaceful seclusion of a riverbank setting. Our circa-1920s bungalow offers three bedrooms, a full kitchen, comfortable living room, full bathroom with walk-in shower and an attached half bathroom. The fully enclosed back porch and spacious deck overlook the Kentucky River, and the quiet back yard boasts a canopy of sycamore, walnut, and oak trees.

Cute older home on the river with a nice back patio area. We enjoyed the view from the house. The house was cozy and really interestingly decorated with period antiques which felt really authentic. It had starter detergent and toiletries as well as a very well stocked kitchen. Appliances appeared new and clean. I would recommend this house to families, couples or younger people, but not necessarily elderly people unless very fit because the floors have settled in places (as is customary in old houses) and this may be a tripping hazard. We appreciated the fans in every room and the street was very quiet and never heard or saw another person. Convenient to Lawrenceburg, Versailles (we went to brunch at the KY Castle), Lousiville/Churchill Downs (we went to see the KY Derby). Or Lexington. Also 1 hr from The Ark Encounter. Comfortable beds and pillows. The whole place was a nice mix of old and modern :)
