This was our first hostel experience, but i don’t think it will be our last. We immediately felt at home. The volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable. The room is bright with beautiful old windows. We only pulled the curtains for sleeping. The beds are high enough to accommodate footlockers underneath. The bathroom is large, with a charming, but small corner sink, and large, shelved mirror—very much appreciated. For those who need to know, the toilet is low, with no handicap grab bars. The shower is a walk-in and generously sized. This is a wonderful alternative to the downtown accommodations, yet close to so much, AND with beautiful MacArthur Park surroundings.

Perfect for my quick stay in LR. ~1 mile from all the action. Humble private room with all the amenities. Very responsive host and welcoming staff who run the hostel. Highly recommend for budget accommodations that don’t cut corners.

Basic but clean. Bed surprisingly comfortable. Bathroom very compact, but the water pressure was good and the shower was warm. There was a slight issue with checking in which I saw mentioned in another review - the payment made to AirBnB didn't seem to have come through to their computer, and I had to pull up my confirmation code to show that I had paid to get it straightened out. Thanks to the other review I was aware that this might happen, so just be warned! The venue was being managed by volunteers who were staying there rather than a manager so that may have been the reason for some of the confusion (though they were all helpful and friendly). There's plenty of parking which is designated for hostel guests. The premises is in Macarthur Park, which I enjoyed walking around in the evening, but wouldn't want to be coming back to this location at night on foot as it's quite remote. Close to the interstate for travelling on the next day, and close to the SOMA area which had a couple of places to eat out. Items were available for breakfast the next day which was appreciated, and I enjoyed looking at the items on display relating to the building's fascinating history as an old firehouse (the modern firehouse is just around the corner). A solid option if you're passing through Little Rock on a budget.

Interesting little hostel, convenient location and clean quarters. Staff/volunteers were friendly and communicative, as well as accommodating since I arrived much later than anticipated due to unforeseen delays. Would stay again if I’m in the area!
