Beautiful stay Jackson on Black Mountain was topped off by staying in the beautiful home! Everything was perfect!
We loved our stay at Lori and Steve's place. We all felt very comfortable and there was lots of space to spread out over three floors. What stood out to us was the character of the home and the obvious attention to detail. It's a special place and we were a bit surprised they open it up to guests. (it's that special) The home is right on the mountain and in the right conditions you can ski in/out. Additionally, Lori and Steve are proactive communicators and responsive which was very much appreciated. We are looking forward to another stay there again next ski season!
Stay here with my family which included two toddlers, our dog, and grandparents. had a great time. good access to nearby downhill skiing as well as Nordic skiing. Nearby Black mountain was very accessible but still have to drive from the house because the nearest lift is non-functional at the resort. Unique house with ample room, cozy feel on the inside.
Our family enjoyed our stay at Lori and Steve's home. It was three levels of fun! The kids enjoyed the basement playing pool and watching TV, while my wife and I enjoyed the peace and natural beauty of the top floor with the kitchen and beautiful views! We were happy to have the kids skiing at Black Mt. while we walked the neighborhood and adventured into town to snowshoe. Dinner was easy due to the great kitchen and all the things they had available. We felt that we were at home. Thanks again for sharing your home!
Lori and Steve's home is far from your average run of the mill AirBnb. As soon as you walk in you can feel the life and personality of their home. We loved all of the natural light and how intentional the home was decorated. A true New England ski lodge. The hosts were friendly and very easy to communicate with.

We purchased the property of our dreams in 2006. We spent the next 2 years building our house and moved into it in 2008. We have been working on it ever since and it is most definitely a labor of love. We pride ourselves in offering a unique and unforgettable experience to our guests. Most of our guests have returned many times over the past 10 years and consider it their second home, which is exactly how we want them to feel! Our home is quite unique and one of the things our guests love about it. We designed and built the home with the effort and intent to minimize the impact on our beautiful natural environment as much as possible, both during the construction process and once living in it. The house was built with ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) construction. Basically, this means that the walls are one foot in mass, from the foundation to the roofline, consisting of recycled Styrofoam blocks filled with 6” of poured concrete. This construction not only makes the home virtually indestructible and allergen free (bacteria and mold cannot grow in this type of environment); it makes it extremely energy efficient, as the concrete mass keeps out the cold in the winter and the warmth in the summer. In addition, this type of construction greatly minimizes waste and the use of natural materials used in a conventional stick frame build. We have never stopped working on improving our home over the years (and probably never will because we love working on it) and it is another thing our returning guests love because they always have a new surprise to enjoy when they arrive.
