Comfortable, spacious and well stocked 4 bedroom 2 bath in the heart of the Red River Gorge. Soak in the hot tub after a day of wilderness adventures or relax and play games in the outdoor patio space. Share wonderful meals with friends and family in the fully stocked kitchen with a gas range. Or mix work with pleasure without any lag on the ultra-fast fiber internet (90Mbps download and upload). The cabin is within 15 minutes of most tourist destinations and is great for accessing the climbing. The majority of the living space is on the main level which has an open floor plan with a large kitchen with abundant counter space, a dining space seating 6 and a cozy living room with ample space for everyone to assemble. Down the hallway you'll find two large bedrooms and one of the bathrooms. The upstairs has an additional two bedrooms, a bathroom and a nook with a futon that can be used as an extra bed. There are several areas throughout the house that can be utilized for a home office setup. While we do our best to make the home comfortable, clean and elegant, it still has a bit of rustic cabin “charm” such as creaky floor sections, some rough finishings and relatively thin walls. The house is pet friendly but we ask that you clean your pet's paws whenever they come in from the outside. Note also that the back yard is not fenced in so it will not be suitable for dogs that like to roam.

The cabin was great for our family trip. The space was very cozy with lots of space for cooking. The grill was clean and ready to use first night we got there. The peaceful and private backyard space was perfect after a day hiking and climbing at the cliffs. We would stay here again in the future!
The cabin was clean and already well furnished with amenities. The cabin is also very spacious. Also, the outside covered area provided a lot of entertainment as well. We really needed nothing else other than groceries . We found this location to be within a 5 miles of many outdoor activities and places to eat. My family and I are already talking about a future fall time trip back!
Had a great stay and the kids loved the cabin. Definitely will be back and it’s a great place to stay!
My family and I did an extended weekend getaway at the Red River Retreat, and it exceeded our expectations. Very clean and comfortable beds and furniture with plenty of seating. The back patio was equally as relaxing and comfy. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. Sandy gave lots of great local recommendations. We enjoyed Daniel Boone’s coffeehouse (the baked goods are a must) and Red Point BBQ was divine (note: this restaurant is dry on Sundays due to being in another county). Creation Falls is a great hike if you have little ones. And the reptile museum is a fun lil spot too. All in all, we had the perfect time and will be back again!

The cabin is situated in a rural area near some farms. The house shares a driveway with the neighboring house which is nearby. Apart from the one neighbor, there are no other houses in close proximity.
The cabin is located right off of Highway 715 which is a main road but sees less traffic than Highway 11. The gravel driveway to the house goes up a relatively gentle incline. No steep hills or dirt roads required to access cabin.

I live in Boulder, Colorado with my husband Matt and our 13-year old son Bayes. Our family loves adventures and travel! Lots of the travel we do is focused around rock climbing, one of our main passions. Climbing has brought us to amazing places throughout the States like the Red River Gorge and Hueco Tanks and also internationally to places like France, Switzerland and South Africa. We also enjoy hiking, running, skiing and mountain biking.
