Come for the BBQ. Stay for the art. And the cowboy pool. And the sauna. And the vibes. This little getaway was designed for you to find a little peace, and have some fun too. Decked out with great amenities and less than 15 minutes walking to Lockhart's historic town square, & 35 minutes by car to Austin. Our property is quite unique - you'll have the back guest house & entire yard to yourself. We are in the front house but believe in privacy and want you to enjoy the space like it's your own little retreat. The guest house is in the shape of a cube & has two sides connected by a bathroom. ✤ The right side of the guest house has a living room with TV, kitchenette, and a sitting area. ✤ The left side of the guest house has your bedroom, desk, sitting area, and a day bed. Indoor amenities include an arcade machine, Sonos sound system, Philips Hue lights for excellent vibes, record player w/ records, board games, yoga mat & blocks, books & kitchen amenities. Kitchen amenities include a Nespresso machine, electric tea kettle, retro medium sized fridge, dishes and glassware, and a Wonder Oven (bakes, air fry, reheat, toast). Outdoor amenities include a sauna, cowboy pool, grill, fire pit/fire wood, baggo/corn hole, deck, dining table, and ever-growing garden.

I can’t even begin to describe how lovely our stay was at the Little Lockhart Oasis! The pictures don’t even do it justice! Beautifully furnished and with all the right touches. So much thought has gone into this experience for the guest. Highly recommend!
This Airbnb IS the destination. Absolutely magical--we just had the perfect weekend at The Little Lockhart Oasis. Is it even better than the photos? Hard to believe, but YES. Did I look up online half of the things in the house because they were so good and need to have them for my very own? Obviously. Would I coin a description? Yes--here it is: Design-Forward Disneyland for Homebodies. We were floored by what Janeane and Erick have created, the attention to every detail, the care for quality and talent for design, the thoughtfulness behind how and what their guests can enjoy and experience, and the spirit of generosity in sharing such a beautiful home, inside and out. Janeane and Erick are so accommodating, flexible and kind. Lockhart (less than 5 minute drive) is a delight: we squeezed in art gallery trips and vintage + vinyl shopping, but spent most of our weekend simply enjoying the home and time together. Hands down one of my favorite AirBnb stays out of 60+ around the world!
5 star suite with a beautiful back yard! literally an oasis. premium quality amenities, super helpful host, everything was well thought out. perfect for a couples getaway to charming little Lockhart.
Airbnb was super cute! The host even offered to start a fire for us. And, they had ingredients for s’mores. :) The spacious backyard offers lots of areas to hang out in. It was delightful having a cup of coffee outside in the early morning listening to the birds. The beauty is in the details—from the artwork (some by local artists) to the lovely smelling toiletries. The hosts were very proactive with a warm welcome and kind check-ins. The house is close to Black’s BBQ and city center—you could even walk to both.
We were so happy to have happened on this listing and be the first guests. What can I say except I didn’t want to leave. We had some hiking and golf planned but the backyard amenities were so nice we wanted to take advantage of them multiple times , fire pit , sauna , hot tub. The inside was so serene and the furniture was so cute and comfortable. I am already planning to come back for my birthday- and o would have to rank this at the top of all our air bnb stays. Great hosts.

Lockhart is the BBQ capital of Texas about 30 outside of Austin, TX and 25 minutes from the INTL airport. There's also a growing art scene here in town that is pretty special. The historic town square has so much charm and lots of great shops - Chaparral Coffee, Good Things Market, Best Little Wine & Books, Lockhart Arts & Crafts, Little Trouble, Commerce Cafe, and Old Pal to name a few.
Our property is less than 15-minutes walking to Lockhart's historic town square (3-minute drive). Terry Black's BBQ & Kreuz Market are both right around the corner.
We're in a quiet part of town on a street with longstanding Lockhart residents and some new construction. Our property is your oasis to unplug, and to serve as your home base for some Texas adventures.
Note - We live a few blocks away from a train crossing. The train passes by a few times day& night and honks for safety. While we're able to block it out pretty well at this point, we recognize it could be irritating for some people so we have a sound machine & ear plugs if needed.
While we're big walkers, we do tend to drive to town because it's so quick and there is easy parking. We also have an EV charger if you'd like to use it.
