As close to perfect as you can get. Spotlessly clean, decorated beautifully and feels so warm and homey. The bed was comfortable with beautiful quality linen. The kitchen had all we needed and the view from every angle is peaceful and lovely. The property is gorgeous, well maintained, close to town. Geeveston night food market was excellent. I would say don’t bother with the hot tub unless you are staying for at least 3 nights. It took us a long time and constant attention to get it hot enough to be pleasant. Maybe a 2 night stay could get it going if you stay at the property all day but there is a lot to see and do in the area. It was worth the effort though. Highly recommend this place.
We absolutely loved The Pickers cottage. It had everything we required and the area is beautiful too. Plenty of heating options, decor was very well done and the welcome pack which included bacon, eggs, milk, bread and jam was well enjoyed too. If you’re keen to visit this area there’s a good chance you will see platypus( we did) in the park in Geeveston. Can highly recommend the meals at the Kermandie pub too. All in all this is up there with the best places we’ve stayed at throughout Australia. Ten out of ten. We will return to Pickers Cottage on our next Tasmania trip.
Great location, very clean place and responsive hosts. Unfortunately the onsen and sauna need more time to get going to really enjoy it.

The Picker’s Cabin was such a beautiful place to stay at. It was so quiet and secluded, yet not too far from the town centre of Geeveston. The styling is fantastic and the beds are cosy. Annika stocked some fresh bacon, eggs, butter, milk and bread etc for us in the kitchen. Very generous. There were also some Tassie pantry items for us to use. Annika was a very thoughtful and great host. We’d love to come back in the future!
