First of all, Ligong is amazing. Quick to respond and answer any questions. We arrived early in Pasadena and he was able to let us check in 30 minutes early. There were not any coffee filters, but after I texted Ligong, we had coffee filters delivered to us that evening. We were in town for my daughter's graduation from Veterinary school and Ligong left a cute LA mug as a gift. The house is very unique with a lot of character and has a lot of potential. I would have given 5 stars but the house was very dirty. There was a lot of grease and grime in the kitchen and the downstairs bathrooms were very dirty. Some new paint would make this house a star. Two of the beds (one upstairs and one downstairs have extremely hard mattresses. The yard has a lot of potential. It could be beautiful if kept up. A lot of flowers and plants, but was overgrown with a ton of high grass. The backyard has a pond but was black with algae. I loved that the neighborhood was very quiet.

We needed a place near the Rose Bowl and this was just over a mile away - very convenient. The house is modest but very cute and was exactly what we needed. Great TV/surround sound set-up. All the rooms were clean and ready for us. The backyard is cute with a badminton set-up and a koi pond (but couldn't see any fish in there). We used the basketball hoop and the weight machine for some light workouts! Ligong is a great host and replied quickly to any questions or concerns we had. This is out of the host's control, but we did have an issue with very loud neighbors until at least 2am on both Friday and Saturday nights. Car honking, dogs barking, music and kids/teenagers being loud. It was obnoxious. But the neighborhood during the day is pleasant and quiet. A very typical Pasadena neighborhood.

Friendly, responsive, and helpful host. Communication was easy! House was nice, has lots of parking, and is in a great location.
